As you know, an infraction system has been available for mod use for a very long time. The points and offenses were not published publicly in the forum. That changes today.
Below you will find a list of offenses that may result in infraction points being received.

10 infraction points will result in a temporary 24hr ban
2 temp bans will result in a 1 week ban
3 temp bans will result in a permanent ban

purposely posting misinformation --2pt
insulting other members --4pts
signature rule violation --2pt
spammed advertisements --5pts
inappropriate language --4pts
spamming by PM -- 4pts
posting inappropriate content --4pts
inappropriate use of the rep system --2pt
marketplace violations --2pts
flaming, rude, or aggressive behavior --6pts

inappropriate content on blogs
inappropriate content on personal profiles

Mods retain the right to issue a full 24hr temp ban or permanent ban if the need arises. There are special circumstances that come up from time to time that may require swift and immediate attention of a more permanent nature than what a point system will allow.

Again, the infraction system, temp bans, and permanent bans are Not new to MSP. We do believe; however, you should be more aware of the offenses and points receivable.

Please keep in mind that if posts or threads are deleted, there is a reason. If you (as a thread starter) are unhappy with a Mod decision, please contact us via PM. Please do NOT start new threads or polls questioning the final decision made by mods.

Please note that the infraction system will be enforced whereas in the past it was not.
