No one knows. It usually occurs each quarter. If you use that system, it's overdue. So who knows? No one, except Google themselves.

PR updates constantly now.
What you are asking is when the toolbar will update.
You aren't going to get any better results when the toolbar updates.
Because PR is updating all the time your SERP should basically always be in line with your actual PR give or take a few days. ;)
Worrying about toolbar updates is bascially a waste of time.

Even though your correct your 80% wrong in one aspect. Now that google has this "PR" buzz going around no one would (well most people...) buy a link on a site for se reasons on a PR0 site. Even though you might have a great PR5 site (or so you think)... selling links (all that other fun stuff) is a pain... Google has started this PR craze and not updating really sucks if you look at it that way. At least, I think so.

Actually I'm not wrong at all.
What I responded to had nothing to do with selling links. I responded to a comment about rankings being tied into a toolbar update. ;)
As far as my comment regarding the worrying about a toolbar update that was in regard to the SE ranking.
That said, I wouldn't worry about a toolbar update for link sales either.
Google is really working hard to crack down on link sales for PR.
IMO if you sell a link that passes PR (without a nofollow tag) you better be ready to lose all Google SE traffic sooner or later.
