Sadly it's going to hit Mexico...., it was really low from the very beginning, I knew it all along. I'm from Puerto Rico we get hit almost every time there's a hurricane, it's like we can almost guess whether is gonna hit or not. Hopefully (since I live in FL now...) there will be no more hurricanes coming in, the hurricane season hasn't been as active as I though it would be, that's a good thing I guess, you shouldn't worry much. I hope you feel better now that it has gone away :)

It hit me yesterday. Well, kinda. It was the scattered remains of Dean. At first I was scared because I'm not used to thunder/lightning, but then I got pissed at Dean because I realized I wouldn't be able to get any sleep for the first day of school.

I have always had this question. Why do people live where major natural disasters happen? Like in california with earthquakes and florida with hurricanes and places with tornados. I live in upstate New York. All we get is heavy rain and blizzards once in a while. But not really enough to kill tons and tons of people? I don't get it. But then again, why do i want to move to california then? Lol.
I don't know i just wondered why people settled there and stayed living there in the first place.
The reason i want to move to Cali is because it's gorgeous but not enough to die over...

Well sadly in my case, the military has taken over my life sending me everywhere... not my choice lol. BUT responsible people will take precautions when it comes to hurricanes. I'm from Puerto Rico... is not like it was my choice to be born and raised over there lol and hurricanes hit ALL the time, people will not move just because of that. I live in Florida now, and natural disasters wouldn't be much reason for me to move :(

I was born and raised here, I can't just up and move, I am not well off at all. We struggle pay check to pay check. But every place has there own disaster. We usely get a hurricane every 10yrs. I've only been through 2 my whole life and only one of them I remember. I love my home town.

Like in california with earthquakes
I lived in California. The earthquakes weren't bad at all. A few cracks here and there but they were easy to repair (or at least hide). That was pretty much the only bad natural "disaster", unless you consider 126 degree heat a disaster as well.

There are several factors that can influence this. Maybe they have a good job in that area, their family lives there, etc. Coincidently, my friends and I had just had a discussion about this a few days ago =P Yes, I know. It's just sad that we actually talk about these types of things for no particular reason.
I live in Texas, which Hurricane Dean could've possibly hit, but I don't live near the coast. Here, we worry more about tornadoes than anything else.
