There are a few of you that have been flagged by google and have to run the long process of going through stopbadware.org to get your site back and running with google. I have been going through this for about a month. What they do is scan for malware on ur site and if you are ok they send google a ping and google rescans and decides to flag or unflag your site....

SOMETHING TO WATCH FOR AND MOST DONT REALIZE ................

I didnt have a virus on my site. I didnt distribute any badware.... BUT i ran an ad network that runs YIELD MANAGER ADS.... these ads sometimes contain badware and google is flagging sites in which they believe have this ... SO make sure your networks dont run YIELD MANAGER ads.... I hope this helps.... it has crippled my site for the time being.... its been a month and today was the FIRST day i got ANY word back on why I was failing the scans. Wasnt because I had a virus it was because of the ad networks.

IF you are going through this send me an IM and ill give you a number you can reach StopBadWare.org at. THEY DONT GIVE YOU THIS NUMBER ... i had to do ALOT of digging to find this and actually contact someone. So If you are in need of this then let me know and I will give out the number

I HOPE I HELPED SOMEONE--- I know how you feel

I think I posted this number before... just lookup the berkman center at harvard... a simple google search for 'project director of stopbadware' will return the person to speak with :)

and yes, it sucks, happened to me before too. all because of a friggin ad that was ran on valueclick

Which ad on valueclick?

Well, being as though I ONLY ran valueclick and adsense... and I read other people were getting banned for "Errorsoft" ads I believe it was that. Unfortunately those ads are masked inside other labels. Every week or so I manually go through ALL of my ads that I don't recognize and view them. Any of those stupid "Your PC is infected click here" blah blah type ads, get rid of them immediately.

I was banned over thanksgiving holiday last year. I filed a report and I also called the berkman center (i think thats what its called?) on the following monday after the thanksgiving weekend and I ask to speak with the director of the stopbadware project. I explained what happened, told what the site name was, they said they couldn't do anything blah blah, but in a day or so the site was fixed. I never did get an explaination, even though I called numerous times and requested more information.

Everything I read said errorsoft or errorsafe was what was causing the problem. As I said, I go through weekly and check EVERY SINGLE AD to make sure I'm not running any of that "Your computer has a virus, click here to scan now". As well as any zango ads, as zango is already banned by stopbadware. The problem is, valueclick will resell, say, realtech media, realtech media will slip ads in that aren't good, then we're all screwed.

but yes, I got unbanned in about 3-4 business days and I constantly check with valueclick now and I report any ads that are troublesome.
