PSP(x) Brush Exchange

I've done this with quite a few users and we all find it fun getting so many different brushes. So if you have psp and want to trade brushes, just post a download link to your brushes :)

One thing to keep in mind - ALOT of us make our own brushes (which is why this exchange is great!) so do NOT give these brushes away "free" or anything like that. :) (This is refering to ANY brushes posted here!)

I do expect credit as I did make alot of these brushes myself. Ecspecially if you are selling graphics using these brushes! Also, please post and let me know you downloaded them. thanks.

* Photoshop users can do this if they can post "stamps". Psp users are welcome to do this as well.
* This is for ALL versions of PSP!
* If you take someone's brushes, please have the heart to add a set of brushes yourself. It's not hard to do. If you don't know how, look below.


HOW TO GET A COPY OF YOUR BRUSHES:
Go to My computer -> Program Files -> Jasc Software -> PSP (whatever)
Right click on your brushes folder and click Send to -> Compressed folder.
Upload the compressed folder preferably on your site. (The sites like sendspace and stuff are VERY annoying!)

Yeah, I used "x" as the number because everyone has different versions. Kenzie and I made a successful exchange and I have version 8 and she has version 10.

oh, i wanted to share this for awhile. This is a pretty random place to post it, but theres a program called ABRviewer that lets you export photoshop brushes into stamps AUTOMATICALLY. :)

basically you just download your abr files, open them via abrviewer and click export to thumbnails and it'll export them to full size brushes in individual image files :D open them in psp and make them brushes. i got a ton of great brushes that way.

I'd like to keep this thread specifically for paint shop pro. If there is enough interest, i'll make a photoshop brush one as well.

My only reason for this is I made this thread so its EASY for us to find psp brushes. But if we have photoshop brushes in here as well, then we have to sort through photoshop and paintshop - meaning it's not so easy. You know?

Does anyone have any lips brushes? Or like kissy faces? I used to but last time my psp froze, I lost them. If you do, if you could just make "stamps" of them and post them here, that would be GREAT!!

TIP: create subfolders (Not manually right click and make one.. but in PSP) under the file > Preferences,file locations thing. Then stack your brushes in seperate folders. This way, PSP won't slow down even though you've got 328934289432 brushes loaded =)

I would appreciate credit, as I did make alot of my brushes. And, I took them time to gather them, zip them, etc. 4,000+ brushes - i'm sure a nice thanks shouldn't hurt. :) (this is also posted in my first post!)

I made a lot of mine too =) You dont have to credit though katie, if you don't want to.

but anyway heres how to speed up time. Firstly, you can import all the brushes.

Then click file > Preferences > File Locations and make sure "Use subfolders" is checked.

Then Click CREATE subfolder, and name it whatever you want. create a bunch of them, and go into my documents/ my psp files/ brushes and you'll see all your subfolders in there.

Then drag a bunch of your brushes into each folder. Your load time will decrease SIGNIICANTLY. I put about 300 brushes in each folder =) I named all of mine random

I got uh.. 4800 brushes And erm.. I have PSPXI x.x 40 dolla, cant go wrong.

Thanks Tiff. I never have used PSP but I was gonna give it a try and was remembering this thread had some brushes, but I only got 1 link to work!

Maybe we can get a Mod to clean it up and see which links work and which ones don't. Since it is a Sticky thread!!
