View Full Version : some adsense stats

i don't want to come off as boastful but i thought i would share some adsense stats. i am already at a record day in adsense earnings today ($53.20) and there are 10 hours still remaining.
this is largely thanks to greg's msrs script that is wonderful. but along with that, i also have other sites of course and i think i've pretty much maxed out the ctr rates for those sites.
i should mention that my adsense account has yet to be smart priced however it has a few low performing proxies on it and is about nine months old.
here is a screenshot of my account today.

to achieve $53.20 it took 14035 impressions and 840 clicks. i know that many of you here make more than me but i am very happy with these results. the forums have low ctr but i don't think those can be helped. there are a couple of duplicates because i track channels and by domain.
i'll be honest, today is actually the lowest ctr i have experienced the the msrs sites. i've been averaging 10-20% for the past few days but without much traffic.
the one pagers are some quick "mfa" type pages that rank #1 for their term in msn. the pages are very well optimized.
here is one of them.

but back on topic; it is not hard to make money with this script. just do some seo and sit back and relax for a month. you will begin to see results. i paid for some bulletins two weeks ago however results were dismal. seo is the proper way to do it.

:( My CTR is around 2.5% on MSRS. What's going on?

i think it really depends on what type of traffic you are getting. the majority of mine come from search engines.

Congrats, not bad at all. And yeah, there are plenty of people that make that in like 10 minutes (bastards! :clown:), but it is cool to get going.
I don't have enough sites in my "portfolio" to really be excited about yet but I am happy with the results from Gregs scripts so far as far as earnings go. Well for the MSRS that is...I have yet to get the FS going.
The turnkey myspace sites are absolutely crap as far as CTR goes when compared to MSRS but they do seem to do ok with traffic many times. Maybe I am just bad about ad placement/integration, but my turnkey sites CTR/revenue doesn't justify even the domain name cost so far lol.
here is one of them.

Why not use more car related images next to the ads? From what I have read, google doesn't mind images but wants them relevant to the ads...but not so relevant that they mislead. So in your case, I would think general car type images would be good but not lancer images.
Though obviously, I am definitely not an ad/seo expert hahah.

it makes okay money, not a lot but they only take 3-5 minutes each to make so i'm cool with whatever it brings in.
and scilynt, i've already got them set up and am too lazy to update the images. plus, it's kinda hard to get above 100% ctr :walkman:

Only reason I mentioned it was because they seem to frown upon images that don't relate. I think that is more geared towards people using images of hot chicks next to, say, toothepaste ads. But might still be an issue...and you can assume they will definitely check it out if it's getting 100%.

Yeah I've had over 100% and gotten paid...I've got a couple of very small sites on high paying keywords that don't get many visitors and sometimes I get 1 or 2 visits and 4-5 clicks and get paid.
and I am working!! (speaking of working I've been given the "I want to stop working speech from the missus, I have until December to generate an additional 800 bucks a week to cover her salary :( )

My first real venture into MFA was on *drumroll please* a mesothelioma site. I wrote up this huge page about it with all original content, and I remember one day I had 5 visitors and 9 clicks. I made something like $65 that day. After finding DP it didn't take me long to close that site out of fear - but I now wish I would have kept it up because it could have turned into a nice little money maker. I'm sure those keywords still pay a decent amount.
Anyway, the short answer is yes. I have been paid for over 100% ctr.

i wonder why "proffessional seo's" don't try to rank #1 for mesothelioma and asbestos.

Professional SEOs know that mesothelioma and similar stuff is only targeted by newbies and wouldn't waste their time on that

I resemble that remark.

lol... I'm sure you wouldn't target that stuff nowadays... everyone believes in that ridiculous myth of the hundred dollar keyword and starts out trying to get the pot at the end of the rainbow... but soon you realize it is nothing but a myth

Indeed. I used to know what the highest paying keyword I ever had was, but I forget now. It was a complete accident though. I think it was somwhere around a $24 click.
I remember thinking 'now if I can just get one of those a day'.
Then I started thinking 'what the hell was that person thinking bidding $35+ on a flippin' click?'

I received some clicks for a page I have mesothelioma on, it's a PR6 page as well on a webdrug database site I have, the clicks are few and far betwen though and I don't think I ever received one for more than $5.
I think the high paying adsense days are over, I know on my sites the amount per click has dropped dramatically from two years ago.
Conversely the cost per click on Adwords has risen at the same rate....I guess Google are pocketing more out of the middle.
