Dan Raine has taken a bet that he can make 15k in 30 days starting with $30. The interesting thing is, hes going to be using myspace for the advertising.

Well the challenge has begun and I am glad that you made it here. Over the next 30 days I am going to attempt to make $15,000 in clear profit starting with only $150.
I know that any comment I make towards this will have some sort of double meaning and people will start speculating immediately, but I won't be surprised when he/she passes the $15k mark, and you probably shouldn't either.
I still have no idea who this person is though. And if I hear the term butterfly marketing again I'm going to puke.

This guy's penchant for prices ending with 7 does make you wonder......

There's a good deal of research behind that. Ever notice our prices always end in 7?
Origonally it just started out that way with MSRS because of what the licensing cost, but it was a good thing because it would have been $147 anyhow.

7 is a marketing number....

That is what I was referring to.
Even though it is a good marketing number you are the only guy I know selling at prices ending with 7.
Could it be that.........nah no way. lol

Can't wait?
You really need to go out more. The whole idea is stupid and he will only end up filling his crappy blog with all kind of affiliate links, that is his only purpose.

You are probably right.
However, extracting small pieces of useful information from crappy blogs, crappy sites or crappy threads posted on crappy forums is how most of us got started.
I am sure regardless of affiliates links some will find it useful. Even if it is just for motivation.

Kind of a double edge sword...
Hope he can do it easily and shares enough info/techniques to help us, but if it gets too much attention if/when he does do it, it will just make things worse as far as "myspace beast hype" and we will have to deal with even more competition lol.
My guess is he will do it then sell an ebook at the end detailing the process...which I would probably end up buying if cheap enough lol.

And this section looked naked without a sticky.

Remember my words:
He will make poop... and will end up with his blog full of affiliate links.
When he feels like he has enough affiliate junk listed on his blog he might get a few of his buddies to digg his "experiment" and drive some traffic to his blog (and of course, try to get them click on his affiliate stuff).
I have seen this crap over and over... don't understand why people feel like it is such a wonderful and unique experience.
Oh well... time will tell

Yeah o.k. So here goes.
It's posts like this that make me waste money. 45kchallenge.com registered.
Do I hear 60k folks?
...Do I think I can pull 45k in a month? Yes, I do. I don't think it's plausible within the next 3 months, but I do know I could do it.
I'd be much more interested in doing a 5kchallenge though. One that people would find feasible. So... 5kchallenge.com registered.
Not for another month though. I need these people to make this easy for me ;)

So there you have it, $12,565.81, not quite the goal, but pretty decent non the less.
i have no read the whole thing as yet.
but this is what he has posted there.
have not kept up with that blog for some time now.

That's pretty impressive, I haven't read the blog but turning $30 into $12,565,81 in 30 days is huge.
To place it in a better light 99.9% of people struggle to make a return of 8% on their money.
An8% return would turn it into ~ $32. 60.

I am so sick of these tripper's who try and make money off "challenge's"
It's like soo 2004 can't they get it that its already been DONE BEFORE...
you are NOT going to make money off some ones else's ideas!!!!!!!!!
if you want to make some real cash you have to be the first person to do it.
I think they suck and people who read their rubbish are "suckers" for junk.
oh yeah..... I am off to start a Zillion dollar challange now and suck in others :D :D :D :D

Wrong!
Did you come up with the worlds first MSRS? No - but you make money off of MYSPACE - Other peoples ideas! and other peoples websites!
if you want to make some real cash you have to be the first person to do it.
Also Wrong!
If you can't make money off someone elses ideas, how come the first washing machine company ever invented made less than the next one that came along with a better one.
How come there is not just one kind of Dishwasher, not just ONE fast food restaurant, not just one shopping website, not just one MSRS Site.
Not just one...and the list is endless....
If you knew about business at all...You would know, the real money spinners do not make money off their own ideas...Bill gates STOLE his ideas and built on them!
He is now the world richest man...
Google will not be number 1 forever
MySpace will not be number 1 forever...
It's those comftorbale "top spot" positions that kill a company....
Kids (and adults) are always getting bored and just cannot wait to switch over to the upgraded model and better thing with more features...A good business man keeps his ideas a secret and releases on the world like an explosion to surprise the world with all these features the other company just cannot expand on quick enough - and therefore die out to the bigger and better competition!

It will be many years before microsoft is taken down, look at their market share stats! Look at a BCG model and work out the stats for your self, obviously you have no idea about these kinds of figures or facts.
My argument was based on the facts via making money, in terms of a large amount of money off an idea which has all ready been over used by a large amount of other parties, The chances of which are not very good at all.
Why do you think people have patents for things, becuase they are their to be used, sure microsoft my have used other peoples material, but its not their fault becuase it was not patented.
Any way this thread is sooo 3 months ago.

Ok go start a million dollar home page site exactly the same as the one started in 2005 and make a million dollars off it!
What are the chances that it will work? next to nothing becuase it has already been done its already been over used and people are sick of it.
The only way to make money of a idea such as this would be to have a niche million dollar home page site.

just thoguht id mention that this whole "makign money off of myspace help sites" is also using an idea that was first done / thought up by someone *cough cough* and so you all make money from somethign someone else thought up, right connections? im not trying to argue im just stating the truth

You make comments to patronise my intelligence where business is concerned:
It will be many years before microsoft is taken down, look at their market share stats! Look at a BCG model and work out the stats for your self, obviously you have no idea about these kinds of figures or facts.
Yet, I did not say these companies would last forever, and I did not say Microsoft or Bill gates is due to be taken over any time soon anywhere in my posts!
I understand the likeliness of that ever happening is slim, I also realise that nothing lasts forever.
Prior to that you said:
you are NOT going to make money off some ones else's ideas!!!!!!!!!
if you want to make some real cash you have to be the first person to do it...
Now, as I said before ALL of those above statements are completely incorrect!
Nothing in life is impossible either, also, Patents are not impossible to bypass.
Then the icing on the cake...You compared a History changing IDEA to a business:
Ok go start a million dollar home page site exactly the same as the one started in 2005 and make a million dollars off it!
The Million dollar homepage is not a business nor is it a patented idea, nor is it a business model.
It is a young boy, who happens to live just up the road from me, playing on his PC and he thought up a rather silly little idea that happened to have NEVER been done before....It is not some business it was a once in a lifetime thing, the only reason people bought the pixels was because it was history making stuff and got a lot of media attention.
History cannot repeat its self in this kinda thing...Cos people only wanna see this kinda thing once the media wont wanna give a crap about some Million dollar page 2! - It's like sooo last year
However, a History making idea like this and a business are 2 COMPLETELY different things....
Business wouldn't be business without competition...
Microsoft VS. Apple.....
Dyson VS . Hoover....
Notice how the above are 2 companys selling similar products (based on other peoples ideas, just expanded upon)
And now:
The Million Dollar Homepage VS. The Million Dollar Homepage
^^^^^^ Notice the pattern?

What does the MDHP have to do with the 15k challenge?
Obviously the MDHP wouldn't work a second time, because it's a gimmick. It's especially true since the first one was essentially targeted towards webmasters, who of course are more internet savvy than the average person.
But the 15k challenge is a whole different ballgame. All it is really is just affiliate marketing. It's almost the same principle as taking a product from clickbank, generating a list or traffic of some kind, and trying to sell the product. All Dan did was show some creative steps in how to do this in a quick way.
Don't get me wrong, I don't praise to the altar of Dan or anything. Heck, I didn't even know who he was before the challenge. All I'm saying really is don't knock an idea before you've tried it. You seem to be pretty opinionated on this, yet if you spent less time ragging on people that are trying to help, you'd be a little bit richer.
Connections, I'm serious. If you want 10-20k next month, follow that silly little blog you seem to hate so much, and I promise that it will still work.
Really dude, do you think since then allll of the crafty people online have been captured!? seriously.

Nah! Just teasing connections. ;) It just sucks when I see someone that thinks "bah, that probably doesn't really work" or "that's all washed up". An idea like this does work, much like all of affiliate marketing still works, and I'm living proof of that. I just want you guys to have lots of monies! Is that so wrong!? :)

please stop quoting thinks I said 3 months ago,
Sure every one can have a go at making 15 000 in 30 days just the overall concept of this is just been a little too over used. Hence "NEVER been done before" when this has been done before.
any way this is a stupid argument to even be getting into.
Sure 15k challenge might still work but the chance of it been a massive sucess will only work if it is a niche idea like I have stated. No one wants to see the SAME THING OVER AND OVER, this is what my original comments were related to, sorry if I have gone off track some times I type stupid **** really late at night.
and YabbaDoo stop bumping junk form 3+ months ago, this is just plain annoying.
