Looks like my turn has come. what a nice thing to wake up too in the morning, to find out that you have been terminated. You guys dont know how screwed I am right now..
Thank you for your participation in the Yahoo! Publisher Network Beta program. As part of our efforts to ensure high-quality traffic for advertisers on the Yahoo! Publisher Network, we continuously monitor publisher attributes such as:
1. Suspicious click activity.
2. Advertiser conversion rates.
3. Overall quality of leads generated on your site.
Unfortunately, due to poor traffic quality, we have terminated your Yahoo! Publisher Network account ID xxxxxxxxxxxx0. In accordance with Sections 6(a) and 6(b) of the Yahoo! Publisher Network terms and conditions, we will not include clicks from non-U.S. users or otherwise invalid clicks in your payment. We have refunded amounts generated from the non-U.S. users and otherwise invalid clicks to our advertisers and will pay any remaining amount owed to you in accord with the Terms and Conditions.
If your earnings balance is in excess of $100.00, you will receive your final payment within 90 days via the payment method you selected. Please note that we will not make payments for any earned balance less than $100.00. The final payment will be adjusted to exclude any amounts generated in violation of the Yahoo! Publisher Network Terms and Conditions and Program Policies. For example, if we determine that all traffic is non-compliant, you will not receive a payment.
Sincerely,
Mary Fajardo

I totally feel your pain, man. Believe me. I was doing $400/day back in February when I got canned. Still waiting for my last $xx,xxx check from them... It's kind of like adding insult to injury having to wait 90 days for the final payment.
I guess that doesn't really cheer you up though. :) Sorry man...

I know this is drastic and I don't know if it's going to be viewed as a dumb suggestion, but you could maybe sell your traffic (I understand it's around 10k?) for a day or so and make quite a bit of money from that. I am sure people would purchase that amount of traffic if they were buying 1-2k from you.
That is if you really do need the money badly and instantly.

yea but the thing is if I do that then I'll prolly get sandboxed in google for redirecting my domain. then the traffic decrease any way... thanks for the suggestion though.
I might have to just sell my site.

He has to pay his bills, he won't get any Adsense income for over a month. Same with I believe most other worthwhile contextual ads, plus it will be a huge decrease in what YPN was paying him anyway so maybe it won't cover costs, aswell as maybe they will hold onto any payment owed to him from the past month. Many factors. Unfortunatly, apart from the wild suggestion I made and selling his site there aren't many quick fixes. Possibly borrowing money from Family/Bank?
I think selling your site would be a shame and you may regret it, I am sure this could be a workable situation. Your income is on hold for a moment, it hasn't cut off.

Absolutely right, but any $ is better than no $. There are quite a few places out there that are net15 so he could get SOMETHING. Sell nothing but private ads.
As I said before, at least he was fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of YPN while it lasted. If I had YPN at the time these other sites had it I would have been retired by now, but can't sit and dwell on the past. He might have a rough month this month, but at least if some other ads are up there he will make SOMETHING in return.
It's over and done with. Now it's time to get in survival mode and make something happen.

"You guys dont know how screwed I am right now.." Thats what happens when you rely on YPN. I've gotten terminated before - it's no biggie. Learn to make money outside of the myspace scne. You won't see any money from YPN until the full 90 days passes. Your earnings will also be cut in half by ypn.

I'm throwing adsense back up on all my sites as we speak, so I will see how much pathedic pennies that creates for me and I'll work from there. After being with YPN for over a 1 1/2 yrs, this is a nice slap in the face. I can already feel my depression coming back. But as the late 2pac said "Keep your head up". its gonna be hard but what worse could happen to me? I'd rather get evicted from my home than get shot my a firing squad.

You have a long way to go still if loosing YPN is causing you to get depressed. There were sites making millions from YPN late last year - how do you think they feel? Those sites/individuals have 10x the expenses you have. Stop being a *****, put adsense backup, get your sites bigger, and continue finding other ways to make money online. Stop focusing on Myspace like all of these other kiddies are doing. Just a suggestion...

Use Valueclick in conjunction with Adsense and sell Text Ads on Text Link Ads. I believe TLA payout right away and you don't have to do sitewide links.

Yeah the 90 days waiting time sucks, but when it comes its like a nice present. Both times I have been removed from YPN it was pretty much the same amount. First time it was a few bucks over what I was owed, second time it was 10% less. I think the amount they cut it down depends on the amount of foreign clicks and non-converting ads reported by advertisers. They do seem to be cutting more and more lately from people.
1.5 years is definitely a good run. I only lasted a few months despite trying to do everything possible to please YPN. I still see sites that have been in YPN just as long as you and they still havent been touched. The main trend I see with them is that they are never/hardly updated with dwindling traffic. Maybe for myspace sites you want to stay small and lowkey to be in for the long run.
No rainy day fund though? Ive always thought of YPN like a mine, you have to hit hard and when its dried up just cut your losses and keep going. I have 3x the traffic I was getting with YPN but am still only at 40%-50% of what I used to make with it using Adsense/CPXInteractive.
Gotta take the bad with the good though. Good luck with everything and keep us posted.
And im sure whatever you make with Adsense will still beat wages.

Like I said, quit being a ***** and get to work. Learn how to program, learn how to manage your own servers, learn everything you need to know to go further. Life without YPN is hard. I'm making 1/3 the money with adsense. YPN owes me $21,000. Hopefully I'll see most of it in 70 days.

pimpmaspace we understand what you're saying, and you have a point relying simply on MySpace isn't the best idea. He isn't asking for handouts though, he is just after some support, which us as a community and him as a good member we are willing to provide. I think you are being needlessly harsh. It really is kicking someone when they are down, even if you might be factually correct. It doesn't help...

there is more money to be made through targeted CPA ads anyway.
YPN/adsense/adbrite/auctionads that **** is for n00bs.
get off your lazy *** and start earning dollars at the CPA networks instead of nickels with the big boys.
some good CPA networks payout weekly
many of their offers payout $1.50-$5 per lead with 10-40% conversion rates.

What percentage of people want a layout of some rap artist with gold in his mouth also want to refinance their home? If you didn't see this coming then you my friend are a fool. Oh I see. I feel your pain, I was banned from adsense 2 weeks into my webmaster career all because my friend wanted to "help", he barely admitted this 2 weeks ago (it happened around July '06).
Before I got accepted into YPN, I was doing alright with Bidvertiser, they allow images next to ads as long as there's a border (for now). It might be an alright alternative for you, but probably the last thing you should try.
Anyways, start some new sites for different niches, and use your current site to drive traffic to it. At least you already have a foundation to kick start new projects. For very quick cash start some new sites, maybe even automated blogs and sell them. They sell even with no traffic.

This is why I always preach NEVER put all your eggs in one basket.
...
You KNEW it was a risk...and you took that risk and you got burned..if it didn't happen today it would have happened tomorrow.
Yep. Never rely on the quick easy buck from the internet. Enjoy making it and saving it while it lasts, because 99% of the time it doesn't last for very long.
Several years ago I was doing some things with amazon and was averaging 5-6K a WEEK from it at the end. I had quit my job, got into a lifestyle that costed more than I was making, but had gotten lots of credit cards, a high maintainence girlfriend, and a rather wicked cocaine habit. I spent the money faster than I was making it during the last year of it.
Over all it lasted about 3 years from start to finish. I worked a ****ty factory job while doing it part time. Quit the job when I started making $500 a day from the net, that was about a year into it. During the second year I got comfortable with getting the credit cards and spending on them, bought nice stuff, nice cars, huge tv's and expensive toys, did the strip club scene for about 6 months straight every night, Hired Escorts and spent time with skanky women, partying. Then stole one of my coke dealers girlfriend because I Was making more money than he was and my life was basically one big party every day. Spent pretty much the next year sitting on a black leather couch with a glass plate on a table in front of me and a straw in my hand, a bottle a tequila, and a cokewhore sitting next to me half naked, spending 25k a month just paying bills and buying food and coke to do with all the 'friends' I had accumalated along the way. Going 4-5-6 days straight with no sleep and not leaving the house.
Then, out of nowhere, Amazon says we've terminated your account and you will no longer be able to partipate in our program.
Hmmmm. Just my monthly bills alone are about 6k. I have a $300 a day personal cocaine addiction, plus a girl who's addicition is as bad as mine, and she relies on me for everything. I'm on top of the world in my own mind, and now this. Living a $1000 a day lifestyle, was reduced to nothing.
The credit cards came in handy over the next 6 months when I tried to get back onto the program, succeeding sometimes for few weeks. But, there was a fairly quick drop to being completely broke, selling most of what I owned, losing the girl, and gathering 65k in credit debt before they cut me off and we're calling 300 times a day to get their money before my phone got disconnected to where I left a suicide note on a forum, drank a bottle of tequilla, stuck an assault rifle in my mouth and pulled the trigger. To hear a click and then look around thinking your dead and nothing has changed is a really eery feeling. Then a knock at the door followed by the words "Jefferson County Sherrifs Department". WTF. Shove the gun under the couch and open the door to 3 Deputies standing there with a copy of the letter I posted on the forum 2 hours earlier asking if I wanted some help. Realizing then that the military surplus ammunition I bought had just misfired and I wasn't dead. ( Don't trust cartridges from the Vietnam war era to fire every time)
They ended up taking me to detox that night, detox refered me to a state-run inpatient drug rehibilatation center, which I went to for 3 months. Had my cousins move everything out of my apartment I was getting evicted from while I was there and into their house and moved into a spare room they had when I got out. Stayed there for about a year while doing stupid little things online to earn a few hundred bucks a month and did the online dating thing, screwed a lot of fat women.
Then got serious about life again, started an online business through ebay with $20 and an idea. Spent 6 months working 16-20 hours every day on the business. A year later that business is grossing $4k a week and steadily growing. I also got involved in myspace about this time, but not as a resource site, but as a spammer. Started out with making $600 the first month, 2400 the 2nd, 12,000 the 3rd, 36,000 the 4th, then bounced between 60 and 70k a month for about the last 7 months or so. Then, myspace blocked the bots and put up their spam filters starting a few weeks ago or so. Myspace can still be spammed on, there are already lots of people doing it again. But, I was smart this time with fast easy money. I saved pretty much all of it. I live off the interest, have bought a small house near the country, a basic used car, and the treat to myself..... a slightly used Lamborghini that sits covered in the garage.
I still run the business I started, it keeps me busy and gives me pride. The interest is plenty to live on confortably, take litle trips, and still not spend everything every month. But I want more than that, and eventually I might sell the business. I dunno. This is all new to me. But it's a good feeling. As long as I stay away from the slutty girls and cocaine, I have everything I need.
If another big fast easy money maker comes along and I get involved with it I'd make as much as fast as I could, But I still wouldn't live beyond what I know I can without it.
It's a true story.
I've seen several people who run into fast money and get used to what it can provide while it's still unstable money. They go from working factory jobs, to doing just the online thing and spending it as fast as they make it. I warn them all not to rely on it. Yet, they do. Then when it disappears they panick. They lose everything. Usually end up living with family or friends again. After working on your own for several months, or years, it sucks to have to go back to the factory jobs or working for someone else's pocket again.
My advice to EVERYONE who is making money on the internet.....
Save what you can of it.
Live humbly and within your means, be happy with what you have.
Don't Expect it to last forever. The internet changes fast, and what's working now won't be forever. Especially when it comes to making money off of a current fad.
Anyway, long rambling story, simple meaning. I'm bored obviously.

It's not like he needs the money for rent, it's for medical bills, etc. If you have any ads for sale on your site PM me and I'll see if I can buy some spots.

when life throws you lemons.
there is more money to be made through targeted CPA ads anyway.
PM me if you want some links to good ones and i'll make sure you get approved.
I don't want to change the subject but CPA SUCKS on my site. Who actually clicks on these :censored: ads?

Sorry I didn't read all 6 pages but my suggestion would be an idea I had a while back if your running MSRS sell all your embed links on images for a day by changeing the config.php so even though your still getting traffic and people are still using your image the basic linkback goes to someone elses site.

pimpmaspace chill out dude,
he has to work from home becuase his girl has cancer, I really feel sorry for you jeremy, I know how it feels to be in your situation.
But man wrk hard on your site, get adsense and some other advertising onto your page and see if you can make some $$$ move into other niches aswell build sites fast, try and use free advertising sources.
I hope it all works out for you man sorry to hear abotu your bad luck, but in part you are lucky becuase people liek me fomr australia cant even apply for YPN =(

I would agree build other niches that are easy to get traffic to and adsense pays better on. I had a game site that was themed around Super Mario Brothers and just had about 50 animations, pages about the storylines of all the classic SMB games, and 5 pages of online SMB based flash games that I found and while the site only had like 200 uniques a day it still averaged $15 a day from adsense and once it got its PR updated I sold it for $1800

Thanks everyone. yea I am thinking about starting a bunch of celebrity fans sites and work hard on on SEO or something. So far YPN owes me about $3,500 and I hope that comes in 90 day. I was planning on investing a little of that back into this stuff. What would you all do? I guess the only thing I can think of would be to possibly start buying low earning/traffic sites from people and then SEO optimise them and get them making more money.
twords the end of the month I am going to get another sales thread up for that 2k traffic, hopefully I can get a few buyers for that aswell.
I put adsense on my sites yesterday at 12pm and at the end of the day I only had made $15.22
so far today as of 10am I have only made $5.73
nice dip from what I am used to while making over $100 a day on YPN.
I think the thing that bugs me the most is they never even gave me a warning for anything, just pull the plug.

An 85% to 90% drop in revenue would KILL any offline business.

Some of the other niches can be harder to get traffic to but I think a celeb site shouldn't be much harder to drive traffic to. Get a good celeb fan site set up and then if you have a myspace bot start your self a new myspace account and use the Myspace groups feature to look for fan groups for the celeb fan site you have and gather up a bunch of targeted friends and herd them twards your fan site.

I lost YPN the other day too....was a partnership where I recieved 75% of revenue from my sites, so my loss might not be as bad as others who lose their own YPN accounts, but bleah....
Running all adsense for now but it's barely worth it. Getting 10 times as many clicks but 1/5 as much money. Yesterday adsense didn't break $20 with 18,000 uniques and 1200 clicks.

yea I noticed when I came into the myspace game that it was alot easier to get alot of traffic to my resource site than its ever been with any other site i have owned.
Back in 2003-2004 I used to own a network of celeb fansites , so I have experience in getting traffic to those kind of sites. I regret selling all of them lol.
but yea I think i'll just pop one up at a time and go from there. thanks for that myspace groups tip, I have never used that before. I am thinking that is gonna come in handy. time to get to work.

You don't know the half, do a search on Google. ;) This has nothing to do with stealing work. It was originally stolen from us... Go read up on FWL, MMS, Freecodesource, Pyzam. None of them have any of their "own" work up. It's all user added, aka ripped off from other sites. Look at Createblog and Youtube. Pimpmaspace is a very legit site - I made 50% of all the layouts on the site last summer. There were also a few designers from myspacepros that worked on a lot of the content.
Don't make accusations unless you can back them up.

not really , neither one of our family's have alot of money, besides we dont rely on our family to pay our bills for us. So yea basically all she has is me. we were doing completely fine until last year when she noticed she was having a hard time breathing and then went to the doctor and had a biopsy and found out she had cancer and a mass the size of a grapefruit in her chest. she worked fulltime housekeeping at the time so there was no health insurance and after you get cancer the companies usualy dont except pre-existing cancer cases. so therefor we are stuck with medical bills, luckly we had a few benifets to cover some of it.
anyways, I dont need to explain myself to you so please just leave my thread, I have now lost total respect for you.

Yea, well as of now I think you're a total joke. By the looks of your picture you look to be in your late teens to early 20's. Trying to support a person with cancer with your myspace resource site is an even a bigger joke then this thread, I feel sorry for your girlfriend.
All of the other people in this thread will be more then happy to sympathize with you - I won't. I feel sorry for your girlfriend. Relying on someone with income from a myspace resource site using a beta program is truly sad. Stop making excuses and whining about ypn. That’s what originally bothered me enough to post in this thread. I stated my opinion, without personally attacking anyone, unlike a few others here. Respect my opinion, just how I respect yours. This is a debate, a civilized debate at that.
I'm done replying to this thread, as I said 4-5 posts ago. :detective:

I come to this forum to sell links and chime in here and there when I feel like it. I'm pretty close with Greg and a few other members here - that’s what originally got me to join. There is indirect jealousy all over; I’m used to it, Ajay - go work on your sites bud. Not sure what persuaded you to starting playing Myspace detective, but it's stupid. Your lame acts of libel aren't making anyone here laugh or care more about what you have to say.
Jeremy, you really shouldn't give a crap what anyone else thinks and you certainly shouldn't be explaining yourself.

Jeremy I think what you chose to do is respectable and shows integrity... but it's true, you shouldn't care what others think nor do you have to explain yourself. You have the support of most of us here...
