I think I have hit a wall....finally after 9 months of running sites I have no clue what to do next.....I have my sites updated with content just yesterday, I have more content being custom made as I type, I have done all my onsite SEO, placed threads for link exchanges though one of my sites is full, and bought a few high traffic links.

I still feel like there is something I am missing? Or maybe its just because I can't stand sitting here not actually doing anything with my sites........

Try diversifying. Start putting up a new site to complement your current portfolio.

It's an odd feeling when you get 'done' with a site isn't it?

yea it is and the funny thing is they are not even that old.....i am just not used to sites that are as easy to update as msls so it took me waaay less time to finish them so now im like wtf do i do now lol

maybe i will put up a crappy hard to update site that takes me awhile to finish lol......never mind i dont have that much asprin

I've had this feeling alot lately. Thats why I just started developing my second myspace site. Also working on the first one at the same time.

Try custom coding one from scratch.

It'll give you more flexibility and really be an asset in the future.

yea this is what i did. I feel I appreciate my sites more when I build them from the ground up instead of just taking the easy way out with a complete site script.

you would be suprised at how much great non-myspace domains are available too. like my new site, flashyspace.com , I dont think myspace will be able to sue me anytime soon.

9 months..wait 18 months and get back to us

Your timeframe is too short. Your sites needs to build trust with google b4 it will rank better and you will see the affects of those links and content.

hmmm well i think 18 months is a little long i know sites that have ranked for terms more competative than myspace layouts in 10 - 12 months I have just been concentrating on long tail keywords and have not even focused on myspace layouts

That's basically all I know and I completely code my sites from scratch. I hand code everything but the generators and the layout cms I currently use.

I've kind of hit a wall just as you have too. I don't know what to do next - it's because I don't have the resources and the funds to make my sites popular so I'm not sure whether I should start up these domains I have sitting there or not. I mean, what's the point of having a load of unpopular sites sitting there making you no money whatsoever when you're putting so much work into it?

I make 90% of my content myself and it's all unique, and I'm going to stick to that as when I eventually get my sites popular (and hopefully I do so soon) I'll have the satisfaction knowing that my own work is appreciated.

why not invest in a script like msls....the time you would save you could turn around and use to create even more content, build links, and promote your site more

I think the main reason is some people cant afford it, then the second reason is they want there site to look more unique.

yes i guess that is true i had to sell one of my "unique" sites in order to get me my msls script
