View Full Version : Trying to hide from my friends that I pressed a certain Like button...

Hi everyone. My name is Shelley. I have a real specific question to ask about FB.

I was on a website and I pressed a Like Button. I didn't really want to press it. Was just curious to see how it all worked. The button immediately changed, indicating that it had been clicked. I had thought it would ask for confirmation but guess I was already logged in. So I went to my FB profile and scrolled down the page a bit and found it said Shelley Sirname likes Product.

I went back to the website where the button was and clicked it again and noticed that it changed back - kind of like it was now indicating that I didn't like it anymore?

Then I went to my FB profile and deleted where it said Shelley Sirname likes Product. Then went to the Newsfeed, clicking on the Most Recent option, to see the very latest items appearing on the newsfeed. I have seen my own posts appear there in the past. There was nothing there. That was last night and, 8 hours later, nothing has shown up in my Most Recent Newsfeed...

My question: is it safe to say the majority of my friends (or at least the ones who weren't up late last night when it happened) never saw that Shelley Sirname likes Product?

Or is it just me who can't see that in the newsfeed, and can everyone else actually see it?

Like's are all one click, but by clicking the unlike button it should remove all instances of you liking something. As you mentioned though, any friend that was online between the like/unlike may have seen it.
