Hiya, just wondering. I am planning to sell links on my website in the left sidebar , but I'm not quite sure how much I would charge. I'd put the links under "Advertisement". The site gets 100k-180k unique hits a day (according to extreme tracker) -; 70-100k unique hits (according to alexa). I need your suggestions please ^^ :helpsmilie: :smartass:

Just wondering why traffic stats went from around 15 uniques to about 168000 and are slowling slimming down?

I took it off during that week due to the site slowness

According to your Alexa if they were above the second myspace below the google ads I'd pay 375-month/31 days
anyone else think that's fair for 70k+ average?

I already got 4 link buyers here ^^
So, I just need suggestions =) I would put the links under "Advertisement" part in the left sidebar. The guy who advertise sites in the footer of my site paid me $200 for a month.

Well yea you'd definately reduce clicks by A LOT! if it was under advertisements down there.
If it were below the second "♥myspace" and it had a name such as "Other Sites" or "Suggested Sites" or "Links" and it didn't have the Advertise Here button then I'd definately still pay about 350 a month if you limited it to no more than 8.

Position wise, where the Google Adlinks box is is prime. That's where the other high traffic site selling on here has it's links.

yeah, it would be worth a lot more if the links were higher up the navbar like right above the google ad.

Yea that's what I said originally was to be below those ads, but she was looking to place them way down lower in a really bad spot. So I suggested a compromise if she didn't want to place them below those.

I won't put them below the ads, but under "ADVERTISEMENT" label , not under SPONSORS, and that located after "LINKS " section in the left sidebar.

yea that's a horrible spot, no offense I know your just looking out for your site, I just know it would significantly depreciate the value of the links. I'd definately wait to see what buffmyspace.com says as far as his results because right now it's not looking so good.

Yep, I am currently testing buffmyspace, I just put up his link 3 hours ago. When I linked him last 2 months ago in that same spot , he went from , uhm, I think 300-400+ to 1000+ UV a day.
But yeah, I'm asking , if I'd sell links in that spot, how much would I charge? =)
/edit/ ah, same with my sister's site too - crashboo.com, she's been getting 1k+ (close to 2k now..) a day since I linked her in that spot.
I have 150k+ friends on myspace, so I usually post updates through bulletin , so that would probably help. =D

-Skize.com gets 100k+ a day (or used to anyway) and charges 175-250 a week, then again I don't think anyone has purchased. They are prime positions as well.
Once my site is open I'd def. be interested in purchasing advertising (once i have the money) if you make a thread.

Actually I don't think some of those sites are really interested in selling the link, but would at the price they list. Glitter-graphics lists their prices at 500-1400+ per week.
Ideally, you price the link so that the buyer is happy and sets up a paypal subscription. I learned this by selling links on another one of my sites. I sold 20 links at a great price to get subscriptions. I also have a waiting list. Now I don't have to send reminder emails etc... I get my money on time every month.

myspacesupport was getting about 100k and was like $500 a month. It did bring traffic but not as much as you would think and I didn't renew because of it. So if looking for longer term advertisers it's better to underprice some to make sure they get their value.
I'd be interested in a spot to test as well. Please PM me before you sale all of them heheh ;).
PS looks like the link to buffmyspace isn't working correctly with the redirect ;)

I see.. I am testing deep's site (buffmyspace.com) , I'll see if I can set the pricings fair by tomorrow, I guess.. I'll ask deep about this too. =D

I would agree with some of the others.....while it may be tempting to set prices higher do to your sites traffic it would actually be better to set them lower than other sites in that same traffic range. This will help ensure the advertisers get a good deal and a happy advertiser means a repeat advertiser and more money for you in the long run.
Little Example
$450 - 1 month link = No return advertisers and the money stops after the first month
$350 - 1 month link = Good deal repeat advertisers and they renew the following months + more people waiting for a turn
These are just example prices as I also dont have any idea what a link on a site with that amount of traffic is worth

chico when u get back
i thought u were on a vacation :)
and as for the count script, i used one for my old site and it was really easy to install. if i can find it then i can easily install it for u if you still need one! :)
and i would recommend before you decide the price that you test out different locations and see how many clicks it gets so its not too expensive or cheap!

The users are great, I've gotten adds on my myspace and I've looked at their pages and seen them using my content. I get almost 2,000 a day. The biggest thing is the users who come aren't just dumbly going around they are actually actively using my stuff. They are also high clickers when it comes to ads. I'm about to extend my week trial to a month.
