I bought an account from eBay just over a year ago, for the premium url. If you thought of all possible urls on MySpace, this has to be one of the best. Has a very high OVT score.

Well I worked on it for a while and got it to 5k friends, but then it's just sat there for the rest of the time.

Because of the url, it gets a lot of profile views - probably works out at about 500-600 per day on average. It has 250k in total (and had ~40k when I bought it).

It's also PR2 if that means anything.

Should I just sell it? If so what would it be worth?

Or can I monetise the traffic somehow? At the moment I just have a banner on there to some forums that brings a little traffic (a few per day).

I don't have a resource site to promote (though maybe I should?). I tried the whole resource site thing a while ago but gave up ...

Myspace accounts are usually valued based on the number of friends the account has. I think last time I checked the rate was $1 - $2 per 1k friends

You could get a really hot layout and put a link button code in the top left/right (or both) and sell off the link space? Or just sell the account. My understanding is that 1k friends = $10 right?

Well I'm definitely not interested in selling it based on the number of friends.

A domain like say, www.hot.com or www.girls.com is worth millions. Wouldn't myspace.com/hot or myspace.com/girls be worth more than a few dollars?

Plus the value of TYPE-IN traffic, which is where I am sure most of the pageviews come from.

You have those myspace urls? Those would be worth a lot more I'm guessing, but then again a lot of people go by amount of friends and if the url has already been chosen for the account or not. I'm not sure if the urls would contribute to the value.

what's the niche for your url?

It'd be similar to those I posted.

I've had two offers already of around $100 without even revealing the url, which tells me it has at least some value above $10/1k friends.
