Ok, so my question is what is the best way to use Valueclick? I have used them for awhile and quite frankly I don't see what's so great about them. Everyone says they pay really well, but I haven't seen that.

Do you use a combination of the banners or do you use the popups?

first i suggest turning off all vc cpc ads, then set up a default for each campaign you run so you won't loose money to lowballers or psa's.

if you don't mind annoying your users a bit, try the interstitials to bump up your ecpm rate.

hope that helps.

Is their an easy way to ad other networks for the default? The field options for a default seems like nothing can really be added except for a cpa ad. I couldn't get cpx's code working as a default on valueclick.

if you have around 5k a day you can make some decent cash. I use the skyscraper, banner, rectangle and popunder. Each pay about the same, but usually the rectangle pays a bit better.

I've never seen CPC for valueclick...They are a CPM network. Where do you disable the CPC stuff.

Just the campaign selection section. It will either say CPC or CPM, uncheck all CPC.

Weird I never noticed that and they are already all UNselected.

I have the same problem as cyberkiller. I dont get the cpm to work for a floating default. When i add adsense to a floating default it is working fine. I tried different javascripts code but it is not working. I use pop under and medium rectangle.

to add default code for vc i use their section that will convert ad code into a .js file. i then put that file on my server and enter that url in as the default url to use. the vc default module will then call that .js code whenever a default ad is to be displayed. works gr8. i also suggest giving a heads up to the company you are going to default to so they know the redirected default impressions they'll be getting are not fraudulent.

I see that i redirect a few 1000 hits to a 3 party with my floating default but the 3 party company register only 10 hits. I have emailed them to see if something is wrong.

yea, looks like something's falling off the boat someplace. no money leaks allowed. :)

i'd email vc too to make sure the default redirect is working properly.
