We've never run something like this before so don't feel bad. I don't imagine we'll do one like this for a long time to come either. Not if we want to stay profitable ;)

I haven't checked the referrers as I'll check them at the end of the contest, but make sure to have the person you refer put your screen name or email address in the referrer box.

Referrers also need to be entered into the contest by purchasing in order for the extra raffle tokens to count.

http://members.cox.net/cyberart/zacspace/ - one of his "in progress" websites. The whole left navigation was almost exactly like ours last week (with the two-tone gray background) before he changed it to that a couple of days ago.

This was the designers fault. (as you can tell from the site being hosted on their servers) Unfortunately they do not know how to be creative and come up with their own design. I went made sure that the designer was not to copy the site as that would just be ignorant, remember that I am not a web designer. The finished site will not look like yours, sorry for the designer's ignorance. Since joining this forum about a week ago, I have already done over $1000 in transactions of scripts, graphic ad buys and services from users. Let this be clear, this was not intentional and only caused by this designer's choice to be less creative on thier end... unfortunately causing me to no longer use their services.

the live site still looks very similar to mr doe. get some control over your designer, you shouldn't be paying him/her if you are not getting the results you want.

as ajay said..you should get a refund from the designer...I certainly wouldnt pay someone to make me a site that is similar to someone elses...especially since both sites are in the same industry

I'm not going to defend anyone in this matter, nor am I going to let this thread turn into a discussion on whether or not that site copied mrdoe.com.

I will however say that if anyone believes the site in question resembled mrdoe, I would agree to the extent that most myspace resource sites resemble one another.
