I was looking up a friend's profile the other day, and after I searched for him and clicked on his name, I was taken to his profile. There, I was able to view some of the recent stories on his wall, the pictures and videos he was tagged in, what was in his boxes, and his friends. I'm confused as to why I can view this because of the security settings available. He obviously doesn't have it set so that everyone can view his profile because our other friends, who aren't Facebook friends yet, can't view this info, and we have no mutual friends, and while we're on the same network, my friends are also on the same networks and they still can't see it. I've tried a few things like having my friends change their current city and hometown to the same as his and mine, but it doesn't do anything. My friend's profile is the only one that's like that for me that I've encounterd so far.

Do you have any idea what's going on? I'm not really a computer genius, so is there something obvious that I missed that would explain this anomaly? Is it something I should worry about, or is it just a random blip of some sort? Any input would be very much appreciated! :)

i'd say random blip. Nice first post, welcome to MSP.

You sure you don't have a mutual friend? Some of his settings could be "Friend of Friend".

Are you friends on facebook? Coz if yes, by default you will be able to see his profile that way.
