View Full Version : An easy way to make a few extra dollars from your site

First off, STAY AWAY FROM AFF THEY WILL ONLY RIP YOU OFF

So I used to promote AFF and like many others on here at the last minute they changed my program from ppc to pay signups and I pretty much lost all the money I earned.

A little background quick, in addition to running myspace related sites I've also dabbled in the "adult" industry for a while. I've never had any luck with adult friend finder and switched to another provider that's pretty much the same concept except they pay bi monthly and a lot more trustworthy. I threw the ad's on my myspace site and its actually become quite profitable. They have three plans, $75 per signup, 50% rev share or $2 per free signup. On my adult sites I make a killing with the per signup, however for myspace sites the free signup is a lot more lucrative. They also give a "bonus" on the free signups, the more leads ya get they throw a little more in. Not sure how much exactly but I usually average out at around $2.50 per free signup.

The other great thing is payments are super quick, I usually get my check from them the third and first week of every month. And the best thing? When I get that check the third week of the month, its actually my earnings from the first two weeks in that month. Yea most of my income comes from ypn/valueclick but its always nice earning a little more and since i've added these ads it hasn't hurt my ypn earnings at all.

The best ad too use is the geo-targeted PG straight to search page. Use the PG ads to stay in compliance with adsense/ypn.

Make sure to put your affiliate id where it says CHANGEME

Since I know people will ask this, with a 10k unique/daily site im making an extra $400-$500 through them on top of ypn/valueclick. I've been running their program for about 2 months on my myspace site and never had any problems or never had a late payment. I've also had them on adult sites for about a year and again never had a problem. Otherwise I wouldn't be recommending them.

nice affiliate link............these figures dont add up, and teenagers usually dont join these sites as their the bulk demographic of my traffic.

As I stated in the post, yea its an affiliate link. Don't like it just type the site directly in your browser.

As for making money with them? It's easy they pay per free signup which only requires an email activation, no credit card information. The other thing is their ads show a lot better girls than AFF. For one their not half naked, second their younger think 18-25.

I'd post my checks from them, but honestly don't feel like going through the hassle. Don't believe me then move a long. Simple as that.

Check my post history, I don't spam the forums. I'm just tired of seeing the posts of people getting burned by adult friend finder and this is a much better alternative.

I am already a member but have never used them (sort of joined and forget thing).The program you mention has 2 options.$1/lead or $2/lead with bonus.
Which one?
Also I will be using a 468x60 banner.Which one do you find converts best?

$2lead/bonus

The $1 option is just the old program before they upped the payout.

Can't really say for a 468 banner, I always geo target as it seems to convert the best. You could play with their geotargeting ads and try to get it to fit in your banner space or contact a rep and they will make a custom code for ya.

Can you explain a bit more about what Geotargetting is?

It basically just shows or makes it look like the girls are in your area. Say you are from LA, California. It will show girls from that area when you view the ad.

Well I've never heard of anybody ever getting burned by AFF. When they convert accounts that burn them with low-quality traffic, they still pay recurring commissions on active memberships. Quite gracious of them if you think about it :P

I signed up under you to check it out and experiment with it though. Variety is the spice of life.

This is just from one ad halfway down my index page with the code I posted in the original post. I don't run it on any other pages except my index page. Like I said I ran both AFF and then these guys. AFF might be fine for adult sites, but our kind of traffic only converts on free sign ups which AFF doesn't pay on.

Are you going to get rich with these guys? No, but its a little extra money with your existing traffic.

Is there some kind of trick to set links to display only PG ads? The "compatible with Adsense and YPN" angle is what I'm looking for.

The code I posted is PG only, I'd just email them or icq them and ask. I've always just had them make me custom codes for my sites.

I found it - the iframe generator offers the non-nude option. Disappointing to see that there doesn't seem to be any way for it to display pics of men to promote the gay site - the gay market is huge :p But I put a few up to target straights and lesbians to see how it works out.

Mass majority of myspace is under 18. If you put these banners on your site, you will have to make an entry page to site to confirm that they aren't under 18; which will cut ur visitors in half!

I just spent half an hour happily playing with the iframe generator :) Very nice.

Ads blend in great with the site.

misterproline i like your stats. I have been into the myspace marketing scene for about 3 months now and i have been gaining all my revenue from maxbounty. Every month I gain on average of $100 on maxbounty. That figure is increasing monthly. I am interested in your AFF plan. Also cyberkiller you make a valid point about AFF, they do change your payment plan. Looking foward to hearing from you guys!
