Animation Shop keeps optimizing the image so it looks bad. :( I'm terrible at MySpace layouts to begin with so it looks even worse. :(

And after it is optimized as a .gif:

This is it as a .png so you can see it before I animated it:

How can I fix the quality when I save?

Personally I don't see a difference, but if you go to File >> Optimization Settings and make sure it says 255 colours and Error Diffusion instead of Nearest Color; it should give it a higher quality - but I guess it really depends on the image.

It can be tricky making quality layouts with a 256 color limit. All you can do is try to limit the amount of color you use or you get pixelation

The edge looks like a paint splatter instead of what I had before...whatever it is. :P

& I'll try that, thanks for the advice.

I found the quality of my glitters increased drastically when I stopped using psp and animation shop and learned photoshop and imageready... I never could get a nice sharp looking image using the animationshop.

I have ImageReady so maybe its time to start using it, LOL. :-) Thanks!
