and cars/rap layouts seem to be quite popular with my friends.

If you are going to do celebs, do some ones that havnt been done. No more jessica simpson, beyonce, angelina jolie, 100000000 is enough! And then we have still popular artists completely unaccounted for.

I'm sure you designers can figure out more than 5 celebs if you have figured out photoshop.

Personally.. if I use somebody else's layouts from a website instead of making my own.. I like patterns, vectorish type layouts.

I don't like featuring people in them though.

Tiny layouts with patterned backgrounds are very popular, as are the photography layouts (like the ones on selena's site myspace-lyts.com) and retro layouts.
