Once I finish all my current orders, I was thinking about doing a group buy...but, I'd need to know HOW they work and what things to include.
It would have glitters for sure, but what other things are popular buys?
Also, are you interested in group buys?
Thanks! :)

Hehe.
In order to get the most out of your group buy, it would be suggested doing something that their isn't currently a group buy out there for.
Example:
A pack with layouts and glitters is already taken (Selena)
and a pack with only layouts is already taken (myself)
So if they are already taken, chances are you wont get too many people to join then - since they are probably already in one of those above.
I know your pretty good at glitters. And I don't think there is already a group buy out there for glitters (Izzy usually does glitter group buys, but i think she's taking a break?) so maybe go for glitters?
Edit*
I just noticed someone else is using the group buy for glitters approach. I think it's a good idea to do as much research about group buys as possible, before starting one.
Well, i've thrown my 2 cents out there. Anyone else care to share their thoughts on my opinions?

Ok, thank you!
Say 10 people joined in my group buy...well, would I just divide it up or would I let them pick what each person wanted or...? How does that work out? :P

Here is what i'm doing - and it works great so far!!
I suggest setting a "Sign up fee" per person.
In your original post - before signups, list how much you will be charging per graphic.
Then, at then end of sign-ups, add up how many users have joined and times that by the signup fee. That will give you the total number of cash you get to spend on the graphics. You then divide this total number by the price per graphic and it will give you how many you make.
I hope this make sense.
Here's an example:
Price per graphic: $6
Price per user: $75
Total Users: 25
25 users x $75 sign up fee = $1875
Then, $1875 divide by the PPG ($6) = 312.5 (I would round this to 312)
And that gives you the total number of graphics to create.
I just woke up, so i'm still a bit drowsy and may not make sense. So if you have questions, just review my thread and how i'm running things. :)

Thank you! I now understand it more. :)
So, you're making 312 graphics per person?

No, not per person. Per group. The group would share the graphics amongst one another. :)

Oooohh..ok :)
How would you decide who gets what, though?

They all share it.
They all use all of it. :)

my advice is just mix it all up, if your good at everything then make everything. If people can get their glitters, layouts and contact tables all in the same buy for one good price then heck yeah they'll jump on it.
first you got to set a goal on the profit you want then you have to guess at about how many ppl you could get and set the price accordingly. my guess is that you could get about 10 ppl so if you want 500$ a month then charge 50$ per person and then make enough graphics n stuff to make it worth it for both sides.

I don't know how true that is. Although it is a personal opinion, so I can't argue with it.
However if you want to go on my personal experience - It didn't do well AT ALL. I had one set up for layouts, contact tables, glitters, and online now icons. Everyone had requested that it be made layouts only. Or glitter only, etc. ( I chose layouts only, obviously)

I'd go for online now graphics and cursors too - but I may be in a group buy on my own!

Wow, lots of ideas.
I'm not so sure on the online now icons as of now...since I just saw the thread saying that they couldn't figure out how to get them to work right so they'd be pointless until that is fixed. =X
Would it be better if everything was premade instead of custom requests?
