Your thoughts please...

Ok, I'm giving my site a much needed revamp and I'd like to know what you think about the overall look of the site.

Also, I'm going to be moving things around on the front page, and I'm looking for ideas to make it look great, so suggestions would be nice.

I like the site. I think maybe the tables(body) should be a different color maybe a lighter shade or something so the text stands out. Or you can add a style to the <h1,h2,h3.....> header texts That way you can do <h1> Menu</h1> and it'd probably pop out more :) Also when people hover over links maybe have it change to a different color maybe a different shade..nothing to extreme. maybe on the front page where you have a preview of layouts, maybe that should be up top more.... I like the site it goes nicely with the header but it looks too manish cause of the green and black i guess? so when I saw it, i wouldn't have guessed it was a glitter site... :rockon: i cant wait to see the updated layout :)

you should definatly make a gittered style header to match your site name. :D
or make your current header smaller in height?

Ok... the stuff thats on there now is the new stuff, so that's not changing.. I want it to be sleek and clean..

I'm going to be adding a hover to the links on the side bars, soon as I can figure out how cuz I seem to be brain dead at the moment.

What I'd really like suggestions on is placement of content to drawwwww the people in...

well yeah, if you place the glitters & layouts that's in the content/middle area, you'd get more people staying on your site because it's smack dab in the middle of their face lol! it would attract them.. but you said that stuff is new and you're not moving them?

maybe you could add a table to the black spot you have under the header and you can place the menu links there. (not image mapped, just links and stuff)
then on the sidebars put the content links like graphics, special occasions blah blah blah..

I think the friends section should be under the myspace layouts so maybe by swapping them it'll be fine. cause the whole section for the myspace layouts and stuff might get ignored if you have the friends section on top? just my opinion

Ok, as I said, I'm braindead, so I'm not being very clear...

The black and green.. The header and colors are new... So those are staying cuz I absolutely love them.

But the stuff that's in the content area (the white area) is what I want to move around and change so that it draws the visitor in and makes them want to see more.

I've thought about moving the friends section down, and putting all the layout sections first, so I think that's a good idea Marie, thank you.

If you take off the menu on the left side, and put the menu links under the header then yeah take off the image mapped part that says add us to ms
because then it'd look weird maybe? or maybe you can take that part off and use a different font and make it smaller so it'd be like this

^ lol that's your black area, so it'd probably look nice like that with a different font, or just take the image mapped part off and just add them as links. Once you got the links hover code, maybe put the links a different color that matches your site like a green color or something...it's up to you.

so once that's done your sidebars would have your content links like graphics, special occasions, blah blah blah on each side.

maybe you could add a link like "suggest stuff" or something and "affiliates?" if you want more affiliates they can click there to apply or something.

I think that would look better.. but it's all up to you. It could look so great in our minds, but then when we do it.. sometimes it doesn't look right.. LOL


OH BTW, maybe you should add a side banner/ribbon that says add us to myspace or something, you know how some sites have that? i think that would look nice.

i would change you brackground image, also i would definitely do somehting with the headers like instead of making them black i would make them the green and blue that you are using and alternate between the 2. this is for the body.
