It sure seems like the market place has died recently.. It doesn't appear that many ppl (including me) are getting sales..

soooo this thread will be dedicated to us designers who would like to come up with ideas to increase graphic sales.

so far my main theory is that everyone wants group buys these days.. perhaps some of us should come togeather and offer group packages? or perhaps ppl are only looking for certain things right now. what is your opinion?

I don't even know if group buys are doing to well... Considering I just made a group buy thread and only got 13 POSSIBLE (not even for sure!) sign ups. Where as most of the time people are jumping at it...

I don't know what's going on. It's very sad though.

I was thinking that maybe a way to improve mine would be (which ive posted it in there, just not sure if anyone seen it) instead of having a set price and it decreasing by the number of people who sign up... Like it be a $ sign up fee, and at the end of sign up's, multiply the $ x # and come out with a price. (Example: 5 signed up, so the price is $250) and we can just see what kind of graphic work we can come up with for that price.

Well, that's my ideas so far. Consider right now graphic design is my full time job (no, i dont have a outside job) I need to make sure I keep my sales up! :(

I was also going to give everyone a $10 coupon good to use on anything in my shop - for everyone who was in the group buy. :)

Um...I got a few buyers today. Its probably because I'm cheap with the prices. :P

This forum is so nice about sales, though. On KawaiiVille, someone wanted 500 glitters for $2!

i think your graphics are probly over priced, if you sell them cheap you will probly get way more sales, people seem to be looking for very very high quality stuff or bargins.

I know the thing that gets me too bite is the cheap prices. Also a quality product helps too.

I like your coupon idea that would probably help.

so is anyone else noticing a lack of sales or just me?

The last marketplace thread I made; I only got 2 or 3 buyers...maybe it's just my glitters, but yeah my stuff doesn't do well.

Funky Phrases V 2.0!!!

Do people that bought the 1st one get a FREE upgrade saying the 1st one no longer works ??

Or can we get a fix for the 1st one ?

Hey PGZ they reversed the update on myspace a bit after they did it and said it was a programmers error or something so it actually does work. Unfortunately I'm doubting a discount since it's a completely different infastructure and completely different everything. That's why I call it 2.0 because it's a whole step above the previous version. It is the succesor to the earlier version.

I'm sure you'll all be very pleased with it. I'll give a hint and let you know that it's new name will not be Funky Phrases but Animated "Comments" yea it's crazy and you can expect A LOT of animations plus easy updates with the replacement of two little files!

I think a big reason may be that eCPM has been down for the last few months which is frustrating.

Another thing is there are soo many ppl selling glitters now, it has become a buyers market. This means only the ppl selling the best quality stuff plus a great price is going to make money.

If you look at the marketplace over the last few months there have been 100+ glitter sales and only a couple of layout sales. I think now that MSLS has been released, it may be a good time to try some layout packs :)

There are many designers very true, I have thought about that aswell but If it is(in my case) because of my quality then I'm honestly shocked because i felt strongly that it was a great deal and that ppl would want it.

I didn't even know about ecpm that may be it.

Making layouts is a good idea good point!

I do think that it is mainly the fact that there are so many glitter sellers now, its mainly based on who can offer the highest quality for the most reasonable price.

I can say that I haven't even been trying to sell things here for awhile since being so busy with other things, so I can't really comment on any struggles i've had with sales, other thanI can actually see it happening with other sellers.
