It's happened to all of us, you both come to an agreement on a link exchange, everything seems fine, and a week later they take down your link. What you then have to do is contact them about it or take their link down. However, there is no punishment if they take your link down without telling you.

What many people do is take all link exchanges down a week later, hoping the other person's link stays up. If they are contacted about it, they cheerfully put it up saying it was a mistake. They then do that to 50 other people, possibly getting 20 free link exchanges.

We should have feedback for link exchanges that you give positive once link exchange is done, but if they untruthfully take your link down, you can change the positive to negative. I just hate having to contact so many people about link exchanges after it has already been done.

Tell me what you think.

Use a tracker. If suddenly one of the exchanges is giving you 0 hits, see if the link is still there, if it isn't remove it like they did to you, simple. Don't waste your time holding a grudge.

It sucks but people are dishonest, gotta live with it I am afraid. Try exchanging links with a select few and quality exchanges with people you are familair with.

There is nothing you can do except remove their link.Luckily I don't do many exchanges so I haven't many to check.

Name and shame I say.

defIed did it to me on mstracker dot net.Did a sitewide and got moved to some inner page.

I usually do a cleaning once a month. Check each site and those that are not linking back anymore I just drop.

Same as above. Once in a while I will check all links to see what's going on and if mine is there I keep there link up. If not I remove their link.

Better to check ones in a while whether your links are there or not.
