Ok I have just created a new block list for blocking lowpaying adsense ads. Hopefully this will provide an additional increase in revenue. I will keep tract of my earnings and if the impressions/clicks remains about the same but my revenue increases I will post the blocklist here for all members to use.

Awesome.
As a side note about 3 hours ago I started to track one of my Google ads through channels and I am amazed to see 2135 impessions and ONE click.
It only appears on the index page too!!!!!!!!!!!
I wondered why my ctr was low....now I know.
I will leave it for 24hrs just in case.

What are you using to track them?

By that I mean, are you using custom channels or click tracking software

Sorry to go off topic.
I was just curious about tracking as I have never done it before so I decided to track just one ad using adsense channel.

The ad is the 468x60 about halfway down the page in blue.It is only on the front page and is the only one of this size that I use.

I find this figure quite shocking (unless adsense majorly updates the stats in the next 20 hours)

Back on topic.
Can't wait for your list minnseoelite :)

Just checked back and its gone up to 2487 and TWO clicks.....lol

I'm the one that gave him that link :)

It doesn't track click channels though, just where the clicks come from.

Has anyone tried adlogger?

I haven't tried any in depth tracking of my ads or anything, however, i'll share this little bit of unrelevant information i guess. I'm averaging 3 cents a click on most of my ad boxes when my usual average on other days is 1.5-2 cents a click.
And on one of my ad boxes i averaged 17 cents a click...more than i'd ever gotten. its like 9 clicks and 1.60, thats more than i've ever gotten.

Anyone else implemented google for search into their sites? I get a much MUCH higher CTR on that, some days almost 30% CTR on the search boxes. And they pay tons more per click than ad units.

I've tried the google search but now I currently have it on one site only, google shows I get a lot of searches but very few click throughs (about 100 to 1-3 ), doesn't make sence to me?

Ok well incase your all wondering I am tracking through ad channels that I have set up for each ad format. So at the end of each day I look at my sites earnings and each of the ad channels. I take note of which ad format had the lowest eCPM and then go to my site and look at each site that appears in that ad format (Google makes a tool so that you can see the URL without having to click your ads)

Every site that I check that looks like an MFA site I ad to my block list. With a little tweaking and trial and error I am able to filter low paying MFA ads from my site. There are also sites that I add automatically which are widely known for being low paying as well like ebay, amazon, google itself, 7 bestsites, 10 bestsites, topsites, ect.

Great news - I got an email today telling me adsblacklist.com was back so check it out guys. Basically it's a website that will generate which ads to blacklist through adsense when you submit your site.

Nice one Selena.I had never thought of search.Might give it a go.The end of the day (well in 15 Mins) shows the ctr for that 468x60 ad at 0.1%.Going to take it of to see if my ecpm goes up.

I don't really get what this is...

This is only for webmasters that own myspace related websites, im sure most of msp users do.
Basically if you have google adsense, which lets you block urls that you want to exclude from your ads, then you might want to stay close to this thread.

The blocked urls should be competitors but myspace wemasters usually block out low paying ads which in return shows higher paying ads to get us a little more money from the ads.

Someone here posted that they had a good list of urls to block and hes going to post it here to share so still waiting.

You guys can block all the sites you want, been there and done that!
You block ebay that paysout 1.5 cents and google slips in another incorperated ad, you take off some screwed up myspace ad at 2 cents per click and there are another 20 waiting to be listed.
You can block no more than 200 per filter (contract), but the low paying ads in the myspace branch are 87% and that is thousands.
A lot of you just say stuff to let the crowd look and hope, if you have no idea what you are talking about just let it go, if you run a Arcade or MySpace site you have no hope at the most by blocking direct mass advertisers you can gain 0.70 cents for a total of 2.90 cents.
When i say Been There Done That its because i worked very close to google for some time!!

grr, i have been blocking ads for the past few months.. thing is there are too many mfa sites and other low paying crap to block, google needs to raise the limit to like 1000 instead of a measly 200.

yes well said zucci you can only block 200 once you block the 200 theirs another 2000 low paying ads ready to go, my advice is high paying keywords as content on your pages, ad blocking will not solve this problem at all.

Most of MySpace site is different. Different text, and content, so one persons adblocklist is basically useless to anyone else....

Not so as I have yet to see a myspace site that did not show ebay, amazon, and google ads these are extremely low paying 1c per click ads that almost no one clicks on and by removing them it lets other myspace related ads show that would get more response............and again no one is twisting your arm to do it.
