Hi guys, was chatting with Greg J. recently and he asked me to post the following email he received:

================================================== =======

We (MYSPACE) are starting a layout site registration initiative in
order to insure proper whitelisting and to minimize the number of
sites that get blocked.

Registration will include the following:
Name:
Business Name:
Email :
IM S/N:
Phone:
Mailing Address:
Layout site URLS:
MySpace Friend IDs:

All this needs to be provide to security.enforcement@myspace.com Feel
free to share this with any other layout people you know. Obviously
we will be verifying the information provided.

That's pretty neat, considering how MySpace usually seems to attempt to phase us out! :)

What's the point of having sites whitelisted with the new profile?

the new profile hasn't affected me at all.

From What Ive heard is they will slowly start un whitelisting all domains if you havent filled out this info.

I would recommend you fill it out and send it in just to be safe...

Hopefully this will provide more traffic as those that do know know about this get their sites blocked while the rest of us steal their visitors :punk:

I talked to someone on Myspace and they know nothing about this.
Either my drugs are wearing off or everyone else is taking them :stuart:

I too would like to know if this is legit or not. We just can't take Greg's word for it. Anyone else have the skinny on it?

Unless you think that I somehow have the email address of security.enforcement@myspace.com and am collecting social security numbers, it would be foolish not take my word for it. It comes directly from E.J. Hilbert II, the Security Enforcement Director at MySpace.
