I'm starting to think that as a newbie to the forum at large, I'm overpricing my packages and bids for work. I'm also starting to question the quality of my stuff. when someone is looking for people to design glitter graphics, what do you normally charge? or is that on the hush hush?

Some people charge up to $4.50 a glitter.....It really depends on who you are, how good they are, how long they take and what kinda quality they are...
On average a plain glitter takes me up to ten minutes, so say the average charge is about $1.50-$2 per graphic if that is the case....If I done a big pack of glitters with images and they are realllll new and unique and top qaulity I would ask for higher prices...I know some people get paid up to 20 bucks for letter sets apparently!

I know there was a thread i believe in the designers corner where someone asked how long it takes to do a glitter graphic. the consensus seems to be 1-5 minutes. I think a plain glitter takes me a couple minutes but most of the stuff that i'm selling takes me a longer because I really think about the color scheme, clipart, font and what not. I dont know. maybe its because people here don't really know me

No, I'm the same....
I cannot understand how anyone can possibly make a glitter (or any graphic) is less than 2 minutes, but lots seem to do glitters super fast....
My glitters take a few mins to make but I spend time pre-planning, fonts, fills, effects....I make fills individually for every glitter I make etc..Then brushes, find images and clipart etc...So yeah I can take in total maybe 20 minutes making a glitter...

People want GREAT deals and most here arent big time Resource site owners yet so they get the best deal they can. If you look around you will see many deals like a Group buy 200 glitters for $25 or the one TripleX did 2000 Unique Glitters for $100 but with 20 people only.

The money is there to be made for you but you have to work it the right way to do it.

If it took you a week to make 2000 Glitters and you sold for $100 to 20 people thats $2000 for 1 weeks work....If you think that is bad then your drastically wrong.

I mean I would buy everything you offer in your sig and on your site if you give me a good price.....PM me with a price and we can wheel and deal.

I would suggest you offer a kickass bundle to get some regular customers - an offer that can't be refused sort of deal to begin building up business. No guarantees it will drive a ton of business your way but it may be enough to get you established.

I would also take down some of these graphics you have available here and replace them with better ones:
http://www.pookiesplayland.org/graphics/packages/013107-1/samples.html

I'm not trying to be offensive but to me some of the figures look like a pic of a blowup doll. Others are just offensive. Not the best advertisment for your work, really.

As a potential customer that's what I think when I visit that url. If you are going to showcase your work then it has to be top-notch with no room for criticism (conscious or subconscious) by the customer.

Browsing your website, I can see you have improved the quality of your figure work as you have gained experience. Personally, I don't want to pay for the lesser quality images nor do I want a ton of f***-you type glitters either.

You need to find out what the customer wants then strive to deliver exactly that.

thanks everyone for your feedback. I really appreciate it. so is the general consensus that obscene language and 3-D images of females are not wanted? and I did post a question (http://www.myspacepros.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2518) regarding what glitter graphics people would want to buy but I didn't get a lot of responses

Wellll...Not really true in all circumstances....I just think this kinda forum isn't intrested...There is a market out there for adult myspace images....they just aren't here is what I think he means :)

Also, I looked through some of your examples and can see how you have improved a lot :P
Your glitters are good, I think you should drop the 3D Blow up doll ones coz, to be honest, they are just ugly more than anything LOL!
Maybe try palace dolls or Sayclub dolls:

For dolls and as for the rest, stick with it you're doing alright, just take these guys advice ^^
Good luck :)

A lot of advertisers are really picky when it comes to that kind of content. I feel it is better to not have that kind of content than risk loosing advertisers.

So do we have a price for all the content you have made thus far on your site and in your sig ??

Im serious with my question.

i think it states in palace doll's terms that you can't use their dolls to resell. if there is a place that allows for their dolls to be incorporated into my glitters for reselling, let me know. i'd be interested. i don't have the skill or the patience to create dolls like that
