1. Open a new image, 400x400 with a transparent background.

2. Type your text, using whatever font and color you wish. I like to use a complimenting 2 px stroke when I do my glitters. The font I used here is A&S Popcorn, and the stroke is #53846F and the inside fill is #88B19F.

3. After placing your text on the canvas, deselect. Then using your magic wand, tolerance set to 20, click inside the outlines of the text to pick up just the fill area. Once you've selected all the insides of your letters, you can go ahead and add whatever effects to the text you want such as Loka's Artistic effects, or an inner bevel, just whatever you want. I'm adding Lokas "Gel". Play around till you get something you love. When you are done, deselect.

4. Add a drop shadow to your text with the following settings:
Vertical: 2.00
Horizontal: 2.oo
Opacity: 100
Blur: 0
Color: black

Now here's where you add the magic:

5. Open up Animation Shop, and then find the glitter fill that you would like to use for your glitter border. With the glitter fill open, go up to Edit, and then Select All, and then Copy. Go back to PSP, and right click on the desktop of PSP and choose AS Animation as Multiple Images.

6. Click back on the image you are making, and go up to Edit and then choose Copy. Once you've copied the image, paste it as a new image, you will see why in a minute. Now, back to the original image, go up to Layers>Merge>Merge All Flatten.

7. Fill your image with the first frame of your glitter pattern. Then go up to Edit>Paste As New Selection, and place your text anywhere on the image. Then go up to Selections>Modify>Expand and expand the selection by 2 pixels, or however wide you want your border to be. 2 works best for me. Go up to Edit and then Copy.

8. Go back to Animation Shop, and paste this as a new animation.

9. Go back to PSP and select none. Fill this image with the second frame of your glitter. Click on the image of your text without the glitter border fill, and copy it. Repeat the step above so that you have the second frame of your animation. When pasting the second frame to AS, be sure you select "Paste after current frame".

10. Repeat for frame 3 using the third frame of your glitter fill. Paste it into AS.

Now we are going to save your animation, and hopefully we can do it without that ugly jagged border.

With your animation you just made open in AS, click "File" on your top tool bar, and then scroll down to where it says "Optimization Wizard". On the first window that pops up, make sure "Animated GIF file" is marked, and then click on the "next" button.

In the middle of the left hand side, click on the "Customize" button.

On the colors tab, your settings should be "256 colors", "optimized octree" and "error difussion".

On the "partial transparency" tab, your settings should be "convert pixels less than 1" and "no, use the existing image color at 100% opacity".

Click on Ok, and then "next" all the way to the end.

That should be it, save it and name it!
