And so it begs the question...How can you defend
a woman that in the year 2008, believes that a man
walked on water, rose from the dead, that another man
built a very big boat, put all sorts of animals in there
Giraffes, Tigers, Sharks, Whales even? And if that's not
impressive enough for YA' (as Palin would say) there were
Elefants in there aswell.. boy that NOAH was some brainiac! rofl
But to think that someone that wan'ts to say they are realistic
and does'nt see things through a very distorted pair of glasses
and then visits with a witch doctor to boot, and McCain obviously
thinks that those qualifications and experiences his running mate has,
will help him with fixing the economy problems facing the US. rofl

She was at church and is a Christian just as Obama says he is. I also believe that Jesus walked on water and in Noahs Ark. That Jesus rose from the dead also. Im a Christian and I believe in the Bible and am ashamed of none of it.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong cause I got muslim people telling me that they strongly believe Noah's Ark and the flood theory too.
Also the story of Noah's Ark dates back before Christianity was formed.
Muslims also consider Mary the mother of Jesus a saint which also think Jesus (the guy who walked on water and rose from the dead) was a "messenger of allah."
Some of the same stories from the bible's is in the Qur'an with slight differences.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have roots back to Abraham through his sons. Judaism/Christianity through Isaac, and Islam through Ishmael. So most historical events prior to Abraham are accepted by all three religions.

I'm not a Christian and I don't support Palin, but this thread is just rude imo, her religious beliefs should have NOTHING to do with her political figure. And to hold a person as a bad political figure for believe in Christianity is just wrong.

Bush only got votes by saying he was a religious man - and buying them. Rude or not, its true. Also, Christianity was copied off of Egypt's religion anyway wasnt it?

Actually quite the opposite. Ancient Egypt was polytheistic. Christianity is monotheistic. The Ancient Egyptian Religion and culture fascinate me though. I spent tons of time reading its history and stories.

TBH this whole religion thing is BS. The USA is secular and so the religion of a president shouldn't matter...But it does. Polls and whatnot show that very few people would vote for an atheist candidate...Atheists are so underrepresented in society. So, being religious (Christian denominations) mean that you're much more likely to win than being atheist...

Democracy my ***, sad but true. Religion doesn't make you a good person, but some people are too stupid to realize this, I guess. :online2long:

that's one of the main reasons I'm Democratic, because I don't want those crazy Christians in office. Sure a lot of Dems are Christians also, but they don't try to force it on everyone. Separation between church and state is a wonderful thing, and the republicans want to tear that wall down. Republicans want intelligent design taught in school. It's sick.
