My Original Group Buy [finally back on]

Please read that thread about the problems that arose with Drew and the original group buy. But read further to know whats going on for this group buy now.

What will happen
I have created 75% of the content and coded about 45% of it. Now why didn't I finish it exactly you ask? Because lets face it, why would I waste my time creating a package if I wasn't sure I'd ever get paid. Now, since I've heard a couple people got their refunds back from Drew, members of the group wanted me to put it back on, which I'm open to since I need to unload this content somehow. So basically, if all goes well this time around, and I'm sorry it screwed up the first time, The pack will be delivered within 2 weeks and if something comes up i'd HOPE at most 3 weeks. I'd say a shorter timeframe, but I don't want to make promises I can't keep.

What this pack will contain
When the number was last accounted for, we supposedly had 20 members who each submitted 50 dollars. Making the grand total up to 1k. If all goes well and we get 20 members this time, the same will happen and this is what the pack shall contain:
200 layouts [Various categories which will be specified later, each with their own coding and a background made by me of HIGH quality]
130 glitters [also various categories, custom made by me, and high quality]
Keep in mind this is custom work and you are only paying 50 dollars each for these. Cheap cheap on your end.

How to get in on this deal
I was not the one in charge of members and so never knew who sent money, who wanted in, who wanted out, etc. So I leave this open for new members, old members of the group, etc. I'd like to get a count of how many people are definitely interested and will not collect funds until I have a list of about 20. If this pack gets up to say 25, with no problem, i'll happily change the price per person to 40. If we don't get up to 20, then I'll simply lower the number of layouts, or raise the price per person. This, I think would be better on my end.

Precious, some will be colorized i won't lie. I've tried to make them as unique as possible but understand on my end its VERY hard to make 200 high quality non-colorized layouts. I'll say that i've tried to keep each layout that i actually colorized to 4 or less of the same background only colorized. However each layout will have custom coding, so its not just the same exact transparent frames for each one.

And yes they will be MSRS ready and unfortunately thats the only way i can offer them, since those were my instructions originally and i've got almost half of it coded like that already.

Understand that i am a person, i go to school, i have a job, i have to sleep. This is 50 bucks on your end for 200 custom layouts and 130 glitters. Thats tons for that price on your end.

Yes, I do understand that since I am a layout maker myself. lol Can you tell me how many approx. that will be unique? (Example 50 unique x 4 color variations = 200)

I have a bunch of celeb ones so ummm let me count the pattern ones and stuff...
i'll edit this in a sec. so far, theres about 50 that are completely unique, plus the color vairations. Theres some celebs, some movie layouts, some TV shows, scenery, and then im going to be doing some cartoons, more celebs, etc. Even so if you decided only to use those 50 unique ones, thats $1 a layout which is a bargain.

^^No that simply means the price per person will drop by about $5, making the final price $45 per person. i'm capping it now...
I'd make more graphics but honestly i really have a crapload of other work to complete and am trying to get this delivered as quickly as possible. If i can get 65 glitters made today or tomorow and then finish coding up 100 of the 200 layouts, i'll ask for the money and deliver the first half of the package to satisfy the group.

I'll be doing another group buy in a couple weeks which will be 10x more worth it than this one. However that one will be limited to about 10-15 people and no more.

The update is that I've sent all the members of this group a PM regarding the problem I am having regarding MSRS compatibility. The fact is that I've coded almost half of them in MSRS format, and theres almost no way to do an non-msrs compatible version without a ****load of more work.

So I'll need everyone in this group who is an MSRS owner, or a non-MSRS owner that does not mind doing a lot of editing, to PM me and let me know that they are still in. This way I can make the finalized price, because I know that not everyone in the group has MSRS so if theres going to be less people, the price per person will of course go up.

BTW the first half of the pack is coming very soon. Sorry its taking so long.

this many members, each member makes a couple points, seller has a point...equals long thread. Only frustrating I suppose if you come across it and have to read the whole thing after it is long.

Of course you want to be polite and read the whole thread first so you plow through it hoping there aren't a bunch of posts filled with superfluous poppycock droning on and on in a stream of unimaginable monotony, seemingly stringing one meaningless phrase after another, while the whole time your mind is wondering "why am I reading this?" and "did he just you use the word poppycock" and other such balderdash. It makes you wonder how people have the time to sit and fill threads with line after line of things incredible in their un-incredibleness, and you start to think "Maybe I'll just skip past this post" when it looks like he may actually be about to make a point... But no he just keeps on going like a cowboy into the sunset, but without films fade out, so you sit there watching, squinting, unable to avert your eyes in spite of the still glaring sun who mocks you saying "you remember that one time you asked a question and you got yelled at for not reading the thread first?" So blurry eyed you craw across the thirsty desert of words in hope of spotting a unique thought, anything to make you feel there is some justification in the past 10 minutes you have spent hanging on every monotonous word and you come to this.

As of now, I believe that I WILL be able to deliver the first half of the pack by this weekend. If so, it will most likely be tomorow when I PM you, and most people should recieve their packs by friday. If you reply later than friday, then you won't recieve your pack probably until late late saturday night or sunday morning.

I have some plans to party for a huge mardi gras parade this weekend and lets just say my mind may wander a bit. :D

The 2nd half will contain different categories, but will also contain a continuation of more celeb layouts, and more TV show layouts, as well as more band layouts. the 2nd pack will contain a lot less pattern layouts than this pack contains. However, from my experience, patterny tiled layouts have been one of my most used types of layouts, so its not hurting you to have these.

Keeping you guys updated. The layouts i've started on for this 2nd half are quite possibly some of the nicest I've ever designed for any pack, EVER. I felt bad that a lot of the first pack was colorized patterns, so I wanted to make up for it with a 2nd half filled with the highest possible quality. Yes, this 2nd half will contain a pretty big amount of stripes layouts, because they have an excellent response on my site and I've heard that they've done well on other sites. I get requests for stripes all the time. But other than the large number of striped layouts, I guarantee you, those of you who want high quality celeb, model, car, etc layouts will be very pleased with this 2nd half.

I also need some suggestions for categories of glitter you'd like in this 2nd pack.

There has been much question regarding this by various members, and I know its actually taken much longer than 3 weeks due to some unexpected expenses, in which I had to complete other projects first to have enough money to support myself. However, I don't want to dissapoint you guys with this half like I did in the first half, which I greatly apologize for. I know a lot of people didn't like the other pack, so I'm trying extra hard to make this pack tons better. EACH layout will be unique. None of them will be the same. I'll post a few screenshots to give you all something to look forward to.

I actually expect to deliver it not this week, but probably tuesday of the next week, since that is the last day of our spring break, and spring break will give me a LOT more free time to finish this up. I didn't do too well on this last report card, so I'm trying to get decent night's sleep and take care of my work, and at the same time finish this up.

Again, VERY VERY VERY VERY sorry about the wait. However, you WON'T be dissapointed. Let me get some screenshots of some of the layouts in this pack.

Selena, I have a suggestion.
Can you release what you do have finished for us and then release whatever is left, in groups of 10 or 15 or 20, or whatever? That way there is something for us to use for now, and so we see that you ARE trying to finish this?

The thing that annoys me is the fact that the people with these group buys constantly pump out excuses, and post in threads, post new threads and so on. If they were that serious about finishing the group buy, content, or whatever. They wouldn't be posting, they'd be at work, finishing the project, and then posting. It's not as though we don't have things go wrong in our life either. Expenses, Money Troubles, Family Troubles and so on.

Well, I won't explain my exuses or my reasons for not delivering for this long, it'd take to long and I guess i'd just "annoy" people more by explaing things. Point blank, I'm about to deliver 50 layouts and 33 glitters asap, half of whats left for me to deliver, and afterward I will be refunding each person 8.75 for the 1/4 of the package that i cannot complete. Then this group buy will be over, done with, and the topic will be locked.

Unproffesional or not, that is the way I am handling it and my decision is final. There's no other way for me to handle this without costing you all more time, and more importantly, me more time that could be better spent on something else. Exams are coming up soon, I need to concentrate on that. You will recieve 50 layouts and 33 glitters, as well as 8.75 once i deliver the layouts and glitters and you PM me your paypal.

Sorry to all who'd prefer the graphics instead of the refund, but that is what is going to happen. I'm not trying to be rude or come off as disrespectful, but this is the way I need to handle this thing. I'm going to finish the layouts as quickly as possible and I in fact only have 9 more layouts and 22 more glitters to do. So expect it soon, can't say EXACTLY when, or give a time frame, but it will be SOON.

And (im saying this as nicely as possible) I really don't need anyone telling me how horribly I handled this, or reiterating to me how long this took, I've heard it enough and it only makes me less motivated to work on it. I appreciate you all being so tolerant this far, and I sincerely apologize for my unproffessional actions. Understand that this is a severe flaw in my business ethics and nothing like this has ever happened when I've dealt with people, I'll admit I got lazy and procrastinated, etc, etc. I was wrong and I'm only trying to fix it the best way I can.

Exams are currently going on. I've either been sleeping, studying, or actually at school.
I come on occasionally to check if i have any PMs and maybe take a tiny break from studying, however I do need to bring up all my grades, so high scores on my exams is a must.

Wednesday is our last day of school. It'll be a short time after that that you recieve the pack, I won't have a lot to do over the summer other than read 8 large books for next year, but other than that I'll be stress free currently, so i'll finish the part that I owe you guys. GOOD NEWS GUYS.
Although it seemed like I'd never deliver this, I'm 11 glitters away from completing the last part of the pack that I'm going to deliver. All the layouts are completed, coded, put into correct folders, the whole shabang.

The only issue I have with delivering right away is that I don't have enough in paypal to issue the refunds I need to issue. If any of you care to give your two-cents on what I should do I'd be glad to hear it.

ALSO. Since I won't be delivering tonight. anyone have any suggestions for what the last category of glitters should be? I'll be delivering VERY soon, once I hear from a few members of the group regarding refunds.

Sorry you are dissapointed but when I started here, the hype over contact tables/network banners did not exist, and so I never planned to include them from the very beginning, and so did not add them in the end either.
I'm not too pleased with myself and how I handled it, however what's done is done.

The layouts in the 2nd half are of decent enough quality that they can stand alone without contact tables or banners. It may also come as a shock and suprise, but not all visitors actually LIKE contact tables and extended network banners with their layouts, so putting them with all of your layouts seems pointless to me.
Yes it makes them more "Quality" but in the end, its the users who are the deciding factor. I've only added contact tables to about 5 of my layouts, and they've never been used. However the ones without ext. network banners and contact tables have been used more times than I care to count.

Not trying to argue, just stating a point.

You can PM me for your refund. Sorry to those of you who are dissapointed about the contact tables and banners, it just wasnt in my original game-plan.
