View Full Version : [TUTORIAL] Make a sunburst

For anyone who doesn't know how you make a sunburst must look especially equally to this tutorial ^^

#1 Set-up the document:

I have choosen for 500x500 PX
Now just go to the "Retangle Tool" and do the same as the picture below. PS it doesn't matter for how much width you choose but the height must be the same as your document!.

#2 Make a pattern from it:

Now just must create two different stripes, 1 width a black color and 1 with a white color. When you've done that click on the "Image" tab and click on "Trim".
And if you've done that then you have to make a pattern from it (click on the "Edit" tab and click on Define Pattern and give your pattern a name).

#3 Making the sunburst:

Now just make a new document, the sizes doesn't matter.. Iv'e choosen for 500x500 PX again :P Just go to the "Edit" tab and click on Fill. The standard mode is Foreground Color but switch this text to "Pattern" and choose the pattern you defined ^^

#4 The final step!

When youv'e filled the 500x500 PX document in just click on the "Filter" tab and click on "Distort" and if you've done that click on "Polar Coordinates..."

Vóila you've made your first sunburst. Now you can make a brushes of 'em.! ^^

thank you I was trying to do this before but I kinda did it the long way :P
