This site has been getting 140,000+ apache requests in less then a twelve hour period.
We have taken the following action against your account:
Suspended the account.
You can resolve this situation by following these instructions:
This site is receiving too much traffic for a shared hosting account. This site needs to be moved to a dedicated server if it will continue to require this level of performance.
Who wants to give me free hosting because i can't afford it.. hah.... -_-

How much space and bandwidth do you need exactly? I'll see what i can do.

Why not move up to one of their dedicated servers or vps plans?

I think my father is going to convery my old desktop into a server, btu that will take a bit of time so I'm just looking for a quick fix and I don't really like their VPS plas so I guess I need to look for some before i look too many visitors/money....

I dunno why every1 seems to LOVE Supass Hosting so much, the more I look around the more crappy they look, really expensive for little bandwidth my BlueHost non-reseller has more space and bandwidth than a plain non-reseller Surpass Plan...

I just purchased a VPS from wiredtree.com they seem new and have a really nice layout, but that's besides the point. I talked to them and they seemed pretty good and I feel pretty comfortable.
WiredTree Fully Managed VPS256 with Cpanel
* AMD Dual-Core Opteron
* 256MB Guaranteed RAM
* Burstable to 1GB
* 300GB Bandwidth
* 30GB RAID-10 Disk Space
* Fully Managed - 24x7 Phone + Helpdesk
* 24x7 Proactive Monitoring and Service Restoration
* ServerShield Server Hardening
* 4 Dedicated IPs
* cPanel / WHM
* Fantastico
* Virtuozzo Power Panel (VZPP)
* Nightly RAID Backups
* No Setup Fee!
* First Month $27! Normally $54.00
* Then only $48.60/month!
Seemed good enough for me. Hopefully this server can hold my stuff and if not then unforunately I guess I'll end up paying around 100+ dollars a month for hosting.. yuck, but as I said earlier my father might be transforming my old desktop into a server so we'll see. It really depends on how much time he has on his hands..

one thing I find that helps cut down the apache requests is to host all your layout images on photobucket.com and such..

Yes, I love Photobucket, but none of the MSRS scripts even support external hosting and photobucket hosting etc.. :(:(
I have a pro account and it's all UNLIMITED on the bandwidth front, seems so good to be true, if someone like freeweblayouts were to do it, surely they would lose thousands of $$$ through bandwidth from that type of site lol :P

I thought freeweblayouts did have a deal with photobucket. I know that you can pay them more to keep your images loading, if you've got the traffic.
EDIT: yup!

Not quite, but I'm working on it..
Surpass just temporaily unsuspended my account (only after I asked them 10 times... ) and now I'm switching over to a new host. So i'm transfering my files now.
Anyways I would like to say how DISAPPOINTED I am with surpass's customer service. It's completely awful. They say on their website that they have a usualy response time of 15 minutes but it was taking them HOURS to reply to my tickets and I was in kind of a bind for time because I wanted to get my site up before I lose anymore money and visitors. I asked them for their number and I guess, according them to keep costs low they don't have a phone number for people to call? That's completely rediculous.

Hmmm photobucket has never really asked me to pay anything extra :)
and I only use that account for layouts i did for freeweblayouts and was receiving 1million views per month on that account. Idk maybe cuz the account name has freeweblayout's name on it, that may be why.
But that sucks. Everyone in the dollsite community is like a worshipper of surp**** but honestly, they seem like **** to me.
I'm with dreamhost but i wouldn't suggest going with them if your site is extremely high traffic. I'm with them temporarily, but I'm going to change hosts as soon as i'm pulling decent, consistentish money to pay for a VPS or dedicated.

I have a VPS yet I still host my myspace site on dreamhost cause sadly my VPS just would'nt provide enough bandwidth for me.

Ehh that does sound really bad. It seems we all go through these hosting woes. I'm sure that you just didn't realize when you signed up,
but I'd never go with a hosting company that doesn't have a phone number available :poop:

This is from expierence...
I went through 6 different hosting companies before I am where I am at currently..
Virtual hosting is crap.. if your site gets big like mine did it will crash the whole server...
Before I trasfered all my images to photobucket I was getting around 400-800 requests a second.. I was with a hosting company when I was hosting all the images and was paying around $7000-$10,000 a month! Now I am with a pretty good company and now hosting my images off site.. I was using when I was hosting my images about 13TB a day!!!
hosting companies always told me... "Yes we will be able to handle your site with no problems!".... YEAH!! RIGHT!!! lol
It's just so funny I was being contacted by different hosting companies to get me to go with them like the one that hosts or use to host myspace images..(I forgot the name) but they wanted $50,000 a month just to host my images!!
So my suggestion to everyone look around... do not trust everything hosting companies tell you... They will say it to get a sale... You can message me and I will be more than happy to help you out as much as I can... :)
They will also tell you that you will have to have more tan one server... I ran sparkletags.com on 1 server and still is on 1 server!!!

Where are you hosted currently? Just one server! If you don't mind can you share the specifications - bandwidth, server make, cost, host?
