Backlinks from generators etc.

Hey. When people use a generator or something, included in the code to paste in their profile, is a link back to my site.

Should i make it link back to my homepage, or the page specific to that generator, graphic etc? Is it generally a good idea to focus all backlinks to my homepage, or should i have spread the links, to all pages of my site?

or you can switch it up every other month build up pr on a bunch of pages

I would rather link to the home page.If people go straight to your generators page they are more likely to just generate and go (sounds like a shampoo).
Sent to the front page they will have to look around for what they want and are more likely to click on one of your ads.
