Hi.. So i have been hearing people say that it is much safer to use a proxy when your botting especially if you have quick a few accounts with myspace. My questions are... how can you get a proxy account? How does it actually work? All I know is that it suppose to hide or let you surf anonymously. If someone can enlighten me please!!

All I see are sites that allow me to enter other sites anynom. I mean is there anyone that you can be connected to the internet through a proxy? I'm currently using a bot to add friends on a few accounts and would rather do it without it showing my IP.

Those sites help you surf. But not so sure they will work with a bot filling forms etc. I have just started using a bot with a proxy feature. This requires the use of lists of proxy IPs. There are different categories of proxy ips. Transparent, elite, anonymous etc. Some have been dreadfully slow with my bot, others have not been able to fill certain forms etc.

to see more about these types of proxy lists google (duh) proxy lists.

I don't believe most bots are able to use proxies.

I am new to this and this is only the gist of what I know so far.

So if I submit 1000 new profiles from the same IP it won't matter? I've definitely heard otherwise. But I'd gladly avoid using the proxy if it didn't matter. Seems obvious myspace records the ip after the image upload and I've heard anectdotal accounts of losing accounts. (Thats my account of accounts of losing accounts)

just because they display your IP doesn't mean it's actually recorded - they can just be displaying it to scare people :)

but honestly, i wouldn't worry about it at all. we've logged into over 200 accounts everyday for months with the same IP and nothing has been deleted. there could be a problem if you make 1000 accounts within a short period of time.. i'd spread it out to maybe registering 10-30 accounts/day.

Yeah, I figure the massive accounts creation would be the biggest flag. But that is what I want to do! :) Hour after hour jamming to some tunes, spinning my chair to enter captchas on my four desktop machines. Wait...that is kind of insane...maybe I better stop and write an article now and then...

not to mention most of their banners are CPM, and bots generate a **** ton of page impressions making them money ;)
