MSP now running vB 3.7

..It's because I'm updating the forum to use vBulletin 3.7. You will not be able to post any sales threads when I am updating, and at points during the update the forum will be closed completely. I estimate it will take about 2 to 4 hours to get the forum updated and the most important features working. Depending on how much trouble it causes me there is a chance I will have to pull an all-nighter and the forum will be down for a god 12 hours. We'll see.

If all does not go well, it'll be reverted to the current version.

I'll begin in the next hour or two. If you have any important messages to send, send them now. If you are so addicted you dread the thought of this update, a video chat is here:

The forum is now running on vBulletin 3.7. It is implausable to make the changes needed for this template to be 3.7 compliant so I'll be going with the default template and adjusting from there. There are features that don't work, I know. But feel free to post things you notice are broken here.

Are you going to be changing the template much? I kind of hate how 3.7 is kind of wonky, It's almost hard to private message someone if you view their user profile.

The warning system of old has been removed as the new Infraction system makes its use obsolete. This means that all of you have a clean slate and are at 0%.

i don't like the layout, i know you're working on it. i honestly liked the old one. its not because im used to it, i've been part of many forums and it just seemed easier to navigate....just my thoughts :)

At the moment I think the layout is irrelevant.Functionality is no.1 IMO and I am sure once everything is tested and working properly it is next on the list.

Images will not be allowed in signatures, no. The only reason they were temporarily allowed was because I didn't know the option existed. I might allow a specific size once the template is done, but nothing right now.

You should be able to style your profiles now though.

Just to let you know, the "friend" request portion seems to work fine, as I had one in my notifications, and I accepted it and now I have friends.

When i first came on i was all worried and said "Oh No" because i didn't know how to navigate anything. The user profiles are a little weird but i've discovered how to do all the things i was worried i wouldn't know how to get to anymore, but it's easy once you find your way around. =)

I wasn't anticipating everyone liking the red. I'm not opposed to keeping it, but the red would need to be darked or toned down. It kills my eyes.

I am going to go forward with the theme that I've already developed and we'll see how that turns out. The old theme will not be available in your profile because it simply doesn't work with this version. The only reason it hasn't been deleted is so I still have access to it with another username to view while I update this one the changes I've made over the years.

But the killer theme is bluefox.

The new theme will be a variant of bluefox. Bluefox started out as a theme called greenfox and then was heavily modified and developed over the years. It's much easier to purchase a ready made theme that looks close to what you're going for and then modify than it is to develop it from scratch. The default theme can be a bear to work with.

Interesting. I'm glad you're working with the bluefox theme. I think it's the theme that represents MSP. The colors are not loud, everything just seems more into place.

I've made some changes to the way profile pages are themed. You have now have a ton more options when it comes to padding, border and font sizes instead of small, medium, large and gargantuan. I figured you're all capable enough to choose by pixel sizes.
