Allow the people who buy the thread creation ability to delete any replies in their thread. They don't need things cluttered up in it.

No this isnt SUCKPOINT.......People only delete what they dont want people to know thus causing it to be a scammers paradise...

If there is a problem with something a user is selling, they need to notify an admin. Posting things in the thread do not help.

Twan if you dont like it you are free to go to SUCKPOINT and sell to your hearts content.
If someone is trying to scam people they WILL be exposed on the OPEN board.
Im sure each one of the Mods here and Admin will agree with me on this.

The purpose of the pay-post system is so that scammers don't do it. It'd be a waste of $5. They can go to anywhere else and scam, not here. Here you gotta pay.

Twan is your BRAIN working tonight ????????
Having the ability for the seller to delete buyers posts only attracts scammers like at Suckpoint. That Place is a SCAMMERS paradise cause they can silent the people that know whats going on.
If you have NOTHING to hide this shouldnt bother you at all....If you do then YES it will bother you. Also on a side note the SCAMMERS pay to post at SP also.

suckpoint is not the same since paid listings were introduced. right after they did it a lot of people didnt like it and moved to dp. thats the reason why they lowered their listing prices for a lot of the sections.
personally i think that marketplace wont get as many listings as before because a lot of the people that posted were kids and many of them dont have $5 and / or paypal ;) but the ultimate decision is upto the forum admins and whatever they choose is what all will have to deal with.

Dont have $5 and/or paypal ??
Ok let me get on this one......
If they dont have PP how are they getting any money for what they are selling ??
If they dont have $5 then they need to learn alittle about business and how it is run. It cost money to make money and if you blow all your money you cant operate. They just like everyone else in life have to make a decision and decide what is more important to them.....Spending your money on something you dont need or investing it in something that will make you money.
They either learn this lesson now while they are young or they will learn it later in life by which time it may be just alittle late.
Im not saying all kids but some......If you dont have the $5 you just cant post. Go and make 5 bucks and spend it here and make 20 30 40 50 or take that 5 bucks and BLOW it on junk that is useless and will do nothing for you.

I'm with PGZ on this one, 100%!
If the reply to a sales thread is clearly intended only to try to trash the thread, report it as such and it will be taken care of but if there are legitimate questions that need answering, then the seller should simply do their best to provide an answer.

I'm personally glad that most of the kids who used to post in the marketplace don't post there anymore. There were a lot of people coming from Kawaiiville forum just coming and saying "ZOMGZ LYK QUALITY GLITTERZZ" and it really aggravated me. They thought they could make some quick cash by coming here. It was getting too cluttered and now we can differentiate between who can bring in a quality service and who can't.
I agree with PGZ. Allowing a member to delete posts in their thread may blind the buyers from a scammers intent. A scammer could pay 5 dollars and make a $100 scam sale in the time it takes for the person to pm a mod/admin about it and handle it. This eliminates that problem.
