Hey. I see alot of sites out there with really bad organization. When i refer to organization, i am talking in terms of the categorization of things (layouts, contact tables, glitters etc.). Alot of sites i see, you might click on "Myspace Contact Tables", and rather than give the user a selection of categories, it just displays a mixed assortment of contact tables, spread over multiple pages.

Im a bit of an organization freak when it comes to that kinda thing. Im just wanting to know, is it a good thing to have a strong organization structure? Do users generally prefer to have a random selection of items to browse through, or is the preference usually a sorted array of items? Or does it have no effect really at all?

Thanks in advance,
Dan.

ugly unorganized pages have higher ctr than organized sites generally because if nothing else user wants out of there and will click anything to get away from there. That and poor coding skills are root of this evil but I believe user prefer organised sites to unorganized ones anyday

staying organized will get you more word of mouth traffic for sure.
and it also helps the owner (you and me) to make changes and grow bigger in an easier way.
every now and then i get lost as to what is loaded where on the site.

staying organized i guess is always good in the long run.
