I'm not sure if some of you younger people knew about this but back in 1999 or so there was a company called Alladvantage that paid you to surf the web. This was how I made all my beer money in college :)
They didn't make it trough the dotcom burst but are back now with a new name and business model ready make surfing the web profitable.
So what does this mean for you? Promote the hell out of it to your visitors. Myspace visitors are young so $30 a week or month is a lot of money to them.
It's free to signup and you can start promoting it today. Their toolbar is in beta so it's a good time to get people to sign up since many have not heard about it yet.

i remember alladvantage ;)
how do you know that this is the same company and i couldnt find anywhere on the site how much they pay you per hour. 5 hours per month is pretty low, i think AA used to be 20 hours.

Yeh I was all ready to go until I found out it was 5 hours a month. Pointless. I do nearly double that a day during the week cause I'm a computer freak.

chihpih - It's owned by the same owners of alladvantage. They've added more founders, I think there are 15 founders now.
DavidR - The hours aren't important for you, this is where you get the people you signed up to make you hours. 5 may not be much with just one person, but 100 people with 5 hours is much better.
Maybe they will raise it after it gets going, that I can't say but it's better than nothing for something you do already.

It doesn't say, but if you use the calculator for 100 people with 5 hours is $130 a month. Not getting rich, but easy money.

Oh my god... there back.
I can't imagine how bad their business model tanked in the end, there were so many people (Remember SoAngels?) producing working cracks that over half of their payouts mut have been fraud.
Thanks for the heads up.

I remember a site similar to this. Was called netbux. I made it past the $200 mark, and when it finally reached time to payout, the site closed down -.-
Ill give this a shot though :)

Not free money.
A bit like zango it delivers contextuel targeted advertising. What they really mean is that they leave and rewrite cookies . Robbing webmasters/affiliates of their commision.
The end result is that webmasters get less sales. Conservative estimate 1% to 5% of lost sales.
Webmasters promoting these kind of programs are shooting themselves in the foot.

Even if they do pay what's the point?
Why would any webmaster want to promote toolbars that are used to steal from them?

Why would you lump the new alladvantage into the same bracket as zango? Just because one company does things that aren't good doesn't mean that all the companies do. That's like saying that CPM ads from Axil are stealing money from people. To me, running CPM ads on your page is the exact same as having the new toolbar that runs CPM ads.
When the toolbar is actually released from beta and publicly available, I'm sure someone will decompile it and verify its actions. If anyone finds that it does in fact act as zango does, I'd pull any advertising I have for it. Until then, I will trust a company I have worked with before and will use them again.

Mainly because of this taken from their website:
"Advertising: The Viewbar™ itself displays ads that are targeted based upon the websites you’re visiting." -- Adware --
Webmaster should get paid, or at least have control over, all the advertising appearing when a visitor sees their site.
Imagine this toolbar really spreads like zangos did. Soon the toolbar ads are competing against yours, 10% of the visitors click on their ads instead of yours.
10% of your revenue gone.
