Many people get 50000 - 100000 + uniques everyday to their myspace resource, is friendadder bots etc the secret to this ?

you use friend adding programs to get more "real" friends then you come up with creative ways to trick ppl into thinking your real and making cool bulletin posts when really your spamming your website. alot of ppl will tell you that bulletins get you traffic spikes, i say yes and no. if you make 8 fake profiles and get a few thousand friends on each then you post the bulletin repping your site 8 x a day 1 from each account and you should get a steady stream of visits. also when you add ppl you never get added yourself which takes away opportunity to post "thanks for the add graphics to advertise your site.

Also make sure your profile looks good and has a bunch of your stuff prominent on it. I'm getting a pretty good clickthorough rate to my site from friend requests.

rough estimate of what I'm seeing. I just started this, so this is 5 days of data.

800 friend requests---> 800+ profile visits --> 320 adds --> 250 visits to site from my profile

this is just what i get on my profiles as well.
and this is a really nice way of advertising a site.
hte only thing is that now with myspace restrictions it is becoming more difficult to add friends.

Um thats not very good though. 250 visits a day wont make you jack

Maybe require that people repost your bulletin using an auto bulletin script before they can use your layout site.

its all a number game. the more friends you add and comment to the more people will visit your site.

I completely agree. This is but one small way to bring in uniques and hopefull it will snowball. And for a simple push of button that is not to bad.

I find if you're completely honest with people from the start, you can add quality friends much faster.

For instance, if you're profile clearly shows that you're a designer and you own/work for myspaceresourcesite.com, people know what they're getting into when they accept you. When you send bulletins out, its less likely to be considered spam, because you're just letting them know that you've "uploaded 10 more layouts - let me know what you think!" type of thing. From my personal experience, the response average seems to be much greater with this approach - both on friend requests and on CTRs.

Another thing to consider is answering questions on myspace layout stuff in the forums/groups there. An astonishing number of people add you. While most of the time it's so that you can be their personal myspace help ***** - it still helps greatly with getting the word out about your site.

Also, something I love to do periodically after I have an inbox full of questions, is send out a mass message directing people to my own resource site forums. I figure, if I'm going to be taking the time answering questions, I might as well be building up my own money-making forums in the process. :)

Continue stuff like this, and eventually enough people will be talking about you, that you don't have to do much promotion at all. It's a bit of a critical mass effect. :)

Thanks for the well thought out post Helios. So other than adding friends, leaving comments, and participating in the forums, what are other non-seo ways to build an audience?

well its always been constant for me if you just know how to rank sites so that they hold their positions without alot of extra work. Why would I want to spend my time logging into myspace 8 times every day posting bulletins when I can just get my site ranked for a few keywords and maybe do 3 link exchanges a week and thats it and get the same or more traffic.

Yea thats good ideas but I have just found personally that it is much easier although a little slower to work on search engine traffic and SEO but then again I have been doing SEO professionally for a couple of years now. I am just getting tired of everyone saying that all MSRS owners are spammers just because of the few idiots out there that go overboard sending out 30 bulletins a day to get traffic. Whats the good of sending out all those bulletins in the first place if they only end up in your sites URL getting blocked on myspace.....

I agree minnseoelite, SEO is just as important, since it can bring you great reoccurring traffic for the long term. The great part about doing the suggestions I mentioned, is that you're also doing a bit of small SEO in the process. Every time someone loads up one of your layouts or generators, or comments with one of your graphics, that's another backlink for you. It all adds up over time.

It doesn't count if the backlink isn't seen by google. It has to be spidered first.

Right, so make sure you target a bunch of PR 4-6 profiles along with your average ones.
