I've been working on it for a while now(a few hours yet), its the page that people will see when they click an image for the code instead of me putting the code under every single image... It's easier for me plus it gives me more pageviews. :-o
:phone:
Does it look finished to you? C/C suggested, or just criticism, throw anything at me.

Looks good, I like the fact that the textarea's don't look like textarea's, don't know why- I just like that lol.
Andrew2

I hope you have some security for that script. Someone could do some damage with the url="insertexploit-here" if it isn't secured.
It looks ok, I much preferred the green version of your layout.
But I found they both lag like hell when you're scrolling.
omen
January 2nd, 2008, 01:48 AM
You can usually fix that by changeing
body {
background-attachment:
}
to make the bg move along WITH the layout. Otherwise you get that laggy effect

I noticed that too omen, but I think he is just using it for img src , if so I think he will be alright, hopefully he is not including anything :)

Yeah, I liked the green but the load time was way too long and the content was too wide. The generator is secured I believe, HTML and symbols are filtered so they will not display. I think the lag is from the advertisements.
I removed the verticle banner but apparently it was actually holding the theme together since I had used a 160px wide image before it to work with which makes sense.. The lag doesn't completely dissapear but if you try it right now tell me if the lag seems to be be not so laggy? :)
Andrew2
January 2nd, 2008, 01:52 AM
And no marshall there's nothing hidden or anything, but it could possibly be the background, I don't know another way to make it repeating all the way down to match the size of the content, the bg itself is very large which I hate to of done but I don't know an alternative.
http://img.dirt2.com/bg.jpg
36kb :-/ Can't reduce it anymore because it will lose major quality but I will see what I can do.
omen
January 2nd, 2008, 01:52 AM
Nah its still laggy as.
background-attachment:fixed;
Change that to
background-attachment:scroll;
and the lag will dissapear
Andrew2
January 2nd, 2008, 01:55 AM
You mean the main background and not the container one?
OH wow, I just changed it and it's dramatically different. Thanks :)

Hey Andrew, is your left nav going to stay like that? It doesn't really match the rest of the design...
Otherwise, I love this.. Your talents are amazing

Yeah i know, That was my main problem with this theme.. I wanted more color though without making it too tacky. My themes have always been a bit random. :P Thanks !

Anne beat me to it lol.
That left nav bar doesn't balance well at all with the color scheme of the top and right blocks. And does look very tacky with so many different text colors.

Does anyone know how this is happening in IE7?
I see this huge gap appearing on the right side of the content in the graphics code area
http://i7.tinypic.com/8164sx0.jpg
http://dirt2.com/graphics/?url=http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc105/24168/dirt2/graphics/emo/girlheadphones.gif
On this image it's not very visible but it's still whack..
http://dirt2.com/graphics/index.php?url=http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc105/24168/dirt2/graphics/24.gif
and for some freakish reason this one is perfectly fine. :-|
http://dirt2.com/graphics/index.php?url=http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc105/24168/dirt2/graphics/3.gif
Also I notice my ads are different from the ones labelled with 3.gif or 24.gif but only with adsense. :-X

if you make the left menu match the rest of the layout, it will look like cowboy times :/ maybe it will look a little better if you got rid of the multi-colored headers or replaced the background for the header text with something else that matches the layout.
i like the backdrop for the content area. spiffy corners?
Andrew2
January 2nd, 2008, 07:04 AM
spiffy corners 4 life NIGGAAAA
What would I replace the bg for the headers with... And I was exactly thinking that if I made the left sidebar match It would yeah, look like a slaughterhouse website or something.

I've been looking over it again, the theme of your site really doesn't suit your content. You have hot looking fresh content then a hot fresh navbar on the left then the rest is burnt cowboy calligraphy theme.
Seriously, go with that greeny layout you had. If the header takes 30 seconds to load, put a cool loading bar on it.
It'll be worth it, or just make it a static banner.
Andrew2
January 2nd, 2008, 07:16 AM
It's not as easy as applying a new layout though, so pretend like you never saw the green theme.. :-/
Andrew2
January 2nd, 2008, 07:22 AM
im gonna be thinking about this now... omen, you aren't the first one who's said that :(

then maybe your current setup isn't worth the trouble if it's not that easy to add a new layout?
the old layout was amazing, seriously andrew it was the best site layout I have seen in a LONG time. do what omen said and add a loading bar, or just make the animation quicker. hell, you could remove the animation and just have it as a static image. the header itself was great, the animation only added to it.

yeah. the script is somewhat dangerous the way it is. you should parse out the photobucket part of the url and only pass the image data. Then in your page rebuild the link with the photobucket code back in there.
