i didn't think you could get accounts for imageshack.

i just use it for random uploads, i wouldn't use them for uploading site graphics etc. because they don't have a large amount of bandwidth.

you should get the imageshack toolbar, it's a lifesaver.

imageshack is unreliable if theres a high volume of demand for the images. however, you can get an account, and it limits bandwidth per image rather than to the account itself.

It allows 100MB of transfer per hour, but your enemies will be able to contact them, claim copyright infringement and they'll delete the image without further investigation. though it's nice for smaller sites, I would not recommend it for pro.

Go photobucket!

hi thanks all.
i just saw from

lunapic.com , after i add some effects, i can ask " codes " by clicking on " host " and it will automatically hosted by imageshack. lunapic is big site so i wonder if imageshack is reliable

Photobucket Pro allows you to have unmetered bandwidth. Most sites that create image effects on the fly usually use imageshack, you just need to sign up for their API key.

photobucket has a way if you have a pro account. imageshack will delete images after a while.

Yeah, I've tried imageshacking user uploads using their API, only to find hundreds of emails flood my inbox saying "hay wheres my image??"

Regardless of imageshack and the email and they'll enable the image, once it's gone it's gone in my experience.

Photobucket is the way to go.

Only prob with photobucket is that at times they limit you from the experiences I've had.

Yeah, 1000 images per folder as far as I know. But with an FTP function, and a counter you can easily overcome this wall. This is presuming the fact that you want this to be an automated upload thing via a script.
