I can't login to myspace, it gives me a 404 page. Is anyone else having problems getting logged in?

Dell uses standard hardware - the same type of hardware you would be able to buy and build a computer for yourself with. It's not "Dell", it's your computer, the software it runs, and the way it's configured.

I paid $3,000 for a DELL computer... what do I care where the hardware comes from? It is a well know brand and should run without problems

can't resist weighing in on Dell. They used to have great service...now not so much.
They tend to have proprietary parts... for example the power supply wiring harness looks identical to the type commonly used, but the leads are wired in a different order (for no apparent reason other than to be different). The result, someone with only common knowledge of computer innards (me) replaces a power supply and fries the motherboard.
Their early use of motherboard integrated video caused a couple boards to crack on me. (from wiggling and tension on the connector)
Things may have changed in the past couple years but those experiences were enough to send me looking elsewhere.

Once again, it doesn't matter how much you paid, you could have paid $30,000 and it still would come bloated with 50 pre-installed programs that dell gets paid to add.
First thing I do after receiving a Dell is I reformat it and bring it up to my standards.
The hardware isn't an issue, it's all the useless **** Dell installs before they send you a computer. I would reformat and obviously only install what I need.

When a virus on my computer kept replicating, we got a dell rep to remotely connent to the computer and try to remove it, after we'd restored and wiped it, he still couldn't remove it.
Then he told us that every Dell computer comes with about 1000 viruses already on it O__O yeah so much for customer care.
Just a word of caution, if you ever find SurfSidekick on your computer, its pretty much doomed. Nothing could get it off, not even wiping the hard drive, or safe mode.

I removed it. Delete the keys and remove the program form the program files.

Well at the very worst you can throw out the hard drive and just put a new one in.
