I agree, those are super annoying. What's more annoying is people who decide they need to install every single application. Overally I strongly dislike the whole applications feature. Horrible idea.

LOL same. I had a long list of them til I removed all..and then kept getting more. >.< I was planning on adding 23082485 applications and then sending it to all the people who kept sending it to me, but that takes up too much time.

but some profiles are a really looking junky now with like 100 app's on them some are really useless and junky lol..

I think this is one of face books biggest downfalls in terms of annoying things on the site.

Yah facebooks platform is open so it lets anyone make an app.
Also some of my friends have over 20 apps and its just messy but if you think about it, users stay attached to facebook longer with apps. You always come back to check whats new. Comments isnt the only thing that users just come to check, apps open alot of new doorways but also cause few problems too.

Myspace is going to be going ahead with this too so we'll see how that turns out.

I ignore every request I get for those stupid things lol I hate them. For one, Face Book's profile looks to plan an uncolorful... two, the applications make the profiles load slow and they are dumb! I love MySpace still... always will.

If it are just a few annoying friends who keep installing and inviting then just block the invites from those friends.

I love Facebook. The fact that you can't stylize your profile can be seen as a good thing imo. You don't have to worry about going to profiles where their stupid little music player automatically sounds, you don't have to worry about visiting profiles with a tacky, horribly styled profile.

If your invitations got that large, it's because you didn't block them as they came in. You can just block apps or ignore all invites from a friend, as Nora stated.

Uh! They drive me nuts. And like 1234567890 times the apps are "do you like me?" "how well do you know me?" etc. I only use like 2 apps. The rest are just lame.

Almost none of these are more than Garbage - and they polute peoples profiles - and confuse the heck out of alot of the basic interactions that used to be fundamental to MySpace.
