Hey. I always participate in contest sites where you have to colorize a picture of either a person or something random, starting in black and white.. know what i'm talking about? Well I use PSP7 and I seem to have a hard time finding out what number hue and saturation to use when colorizing the skin to just a normal white person's colored skin. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and put in certain numbers when colorizing? Thanks if you can help.

Yeah but since I use Paint Shop Pro 7 instead of 8, 9 or X it's old school and you actually put in a number 0-like 300 i think for both the hue and saturation when colorizing.

The 0 point for the hue and saturation values should be the total value divided by two. The desired saturation value is going to change as it's relative to the image as a whole. The saturation point is of course half way between the minimum and maximum for no adjustment.

I'm not a fan of PSP at all, but when adjusting skin tone you don't want to use hue or saturation if you want to achieve the best result. Whatever PSP's version of Blending is, you're going to want to go for an overlay(s) of varying blending modes and opacities.

I dont use hue OR saturation :l I used a solid color, with the change to target option on a new layer, set to color L
