Just wanted to point out that I have been using this for a couple months now. It is VERY popular on my site. Although RAHs wavy scroller just overtook top spot, this generator has been my TOP page viewed since just after I put it up. More than any images or any other generators!

Whats better is I have yet to see a profile using this generator that doesn't link back to my site :)...meaning there aren't many out there yet...though I don't spend a ton of time looking at tons of profiles. But it is a cool feeling seeing it on some random profile and then realizing it is YOUR link back :).

I wouldn't have posted if it didn't get so much use from my own users and just some random generator, but so far, I am very impressed what a simple text effect generator had done.

Ofcourse I value existing owners, and especially you guys here at MSRS for helping me out with this. So the update to version 1.5 is free for you guys. Especially since it isn't a big update. Just send me the names of the sites I made it for you and I'll get you the updated version.

As for 2.0 effects, I'm looking into hiring a coder to come up with some new genuine effects to add. I don't know how I'll distribute the new effects yet but that's not here yet.

I've conceptualized several new generators and am looking into developing them but haven't had the time currently especially with promoting this generator. I'll definately make a post as soon as anything starts. If you have your own concepts that you think would be great developed just let me know.

I am however in possession of earlier file orders and am now asking PGZ if he'd like me to distribute them without sending them through drew. So if your one of the initial orderers your files are ready I don't know why you haven't recieved them and am working on getting them to you.:surrender:


As for version 1.5 release. I've implemented the change into all of your files so you'll all be able to fit up to 30 characters in your generator.

It is possible I missed adding the custom bits to some peoples files so if didn't get a zip that has this has the contents:

Also it's been brought to my attention that I made a mistake in the file, this was probably due to me copying my version of the files and not fully testing it.

I said that textShow.swf will be http://example.com/textShow.swf" , but you really need to make a folder named textgen and put textShow.swf in it, so it becomes http://example.com/textgen/textShow.swf

Since Drew seems to be having troubles with his outgoing email I've created a new email address that he will be checking and I will be checking as well. Hopefully this will be clearing things up. So if you recieve email from Text Effects or myflashspace you'll now know it's drew. Drew doesn't seem to have any problems with receiving email so still email his regular address and paypal the same address but you might receive emails from this new account as well.

As Drew stated before he's very busy this week and he has a lot of deadlines. On top of that he had a few problems with his email. If you haven't recieved anything yet from Drew then I'd like you to email your order to this email address. (myflashspace@gmail.com)
Still send paypal through Drew's normal paypal. This way I can assure you get your generator quicker and correctly. If you have recieved files from Drew but you have a problem or questions then please email the above address with your problem.

I'll spend the later of tonight sorting out all your problems filling orders and helping with installation onto your site.

I currently don't have the instal files such as index.php so if someone could also email that to me I'd appreciate it.

If you change the embedd code of the generator then yes you should be able to change the bg color but it will still have the stripes across. If your talking about the output file it's transparent so it works on any background. Hope that makes sense?
