I NEED A MYSPACE MENTOR

Hello Everyone,

My name is Brian. I'm 30 years old, mariied, and the proud parent of beautiful baby girl (well she's almost 2 but she'll always be my baby, I'm sure other fathers can relate). I've got a SOB story that I can fill pages with at this forum, but I wont, so here are some highlites. I am a college graduate with a degree in graphic design. Unfortunately, that degree has goten me nowhere, and I operate a forklift for 12 hours a day just to barely squeak by. My beautiful wife stays at home and takes care of our doughter and me, she's an awesome mom and wife. She used to work at the same plant with me but had to quit after having the baby. That hurt us BIG TIME financialy. We had to declare bankruptcy and now we barely make it on my paycheck. I am a real non conformist, and I like to think out of the box. There is nothing I want more in life than to be able to have another child, WORK FROM HOME, and be there to see my family grow. So I started selling things on eBay. I was off to a great start selling electronics. I thought I had found a great legitimate supplier and my orders increased with them every week. With Christmas approaching I decided to lay it on the line and invested $16,500 on an order of sony psp game consoles. After 3 months of BS from the supplier, the company was forced into receivership by a bank and the company's headquarters were raided by the FBI. I lost everything I had and then some. The company was Mixitforme.com, and the owners of that company later assumed the name Coyotego.com, and continued to scam people to the the tune of over $20,000,000. I am kept up to date on the progress of the case, but so far, none of the owners are paying for their crimes and I am told that it is highly unlikely that I will ever get a penny back. So now I have moved on to something else that will hopefully take less $ to start up and to start seeing a profit. Well that's it in a nutshell.

Now I am not looking for charity and I don't want anybody to take pity on me. I am a hard worker with the motivation and desire to succeed. This Myspace stuff is pretty much all new to me, however I have been researching and trying to get things started for about a month and a half now. Most of that time has been spent just digesting information, but now I have a domain and a script to get things started. I still don't know very much about all this though and I don't want to start out with my wheels spinning and going nowhere.

I NEED A MYSPACE MENTOR. Someone to show me the light, and show me the money. I really don't have money to offer for your help, now, but gauranteed a token of my appreciation will be forwarded to you when I DO SUCCEED, whether you want it or not. What I can offer now is to help you improve your success. Give me tasks to do on your sites as far as SEO, backlinking, and whatever else, that I can later implement on my own sites. Basically, let me do the things that turn a site into a success for your sites so I know how to do it for my own sites. I think this is a win win situation for both of us. You get me to work on your sites for free, and I get the knowledge that will help me become a success too.

I'm looking for someone that will have the patience to work with and teach a noobie. I'm looking for someone who will tell me the truth and not screw me over (I've had enough of that). I'm looking for someone who is already successful at this and making actual money. Above all, I am looking for someone that will believe in me, set challanges for me to overcome, and take pride in the accomplishments I make with their help.

If you believe that you can help me acheive my goals, and will be as comitted to me as I will be to you, then please post in this thread "I AM WILLING TO BE YOUR MENTOR", and then send me a PM. If there is more than 1 person willing to be my mentor I would appreciate other MYSPACEPROS members to chime in and express your opinions on who I should choose and why.

When I do become successful at this, I myself plan to "pay it forward", by taking on a prodigy of my own to coach and help acheive their goals too. I am a firm believer in Karma (for those of you that think it would be fun to just toy with me). I am an honest, hard working guy, and I just want a better life for my family. I don't want to be a millionaire, I just want to provide more for my wife and daughter, they deserve it.

Well I won't say anymore for now, the ball is in your court, if anyone is interested?

This place is full of people who can and will help, so you've found a heap of mentors.

What kind of help are you looking for with your efforts to make money? Are you running a resource site? or are you marketing a product to MySpace users?

Maybe the Mods could start a Master Class to teach those of us who are still learning to find their way?
Or just a hot tips section that anyone can post to.

Wow, I really wasn't expecting responses so fast.

Drew, I am currently going to start with a resource site, but I also want to market a Unique Bid Auction site, similar to voovy.com and uniqueauction.com, unfortunately I think the programmer I hired to build it for me has left me in the lurch.

I am really wanting someone for 1 on 1 training, although I definately wouldn't be as informed as I am now if it weren't for reading just about every post in this forum.

Those who make a lot of money are going to be hesitant to just give you the answers.

That's good Ted, because I don't want anyone to just give me the answers. As I am new to all this "the answer" probably wouldn't do me any good anyway. I'm looking for someone to put me to work for them, doing the things that make a site successful for their sites, someone to challange me and teach me the right way. The answer is the easy part and it is written all over this forum, I'm interested in learning the steps that lead you to the answer.

Ted has a point as there may be some questions some people won't want to answer but he is wrong to think there aren't people willing to give a lot of help just to help. He must be learning something being here...or maybe just entertaining himself as he is here pretty often making lots of negative post lol ;).

Anyway, the 1 on 1 type thing can be hard but you should be able to find plenty of good people here actually willing to share positive help. And you don't have to wait until you are a guru to "pay it forward". That's what is cool about these forums and the users here (well most of them anyway lol)...you can start learning as well as sharing right away. I still consider myself a complete noob to this making money online stuff as well as myspace marketing and such but I have been able to help a couple people with what I have learned along the way too. I'm not at "mentor" level but I'm opne for any questions you may have ;).

You have to read many forums and gather as many strategies as possible. Try them out and see what works and what doesn't.

If you want to make money on websites my advice is not to go for a myspace site as it pays out rates are not that crash hot any more, ECM is like 3 dollars on MSRS on niche sites its like $10-30.

find a niche market and work your *** off in this thats my advice,

but if you make a myspace site thats different like a myspace niche site then yeah it could work out nice :d just dont use a script millions of people have...

I know where your comming form with the ebay scam stuff I have sold 1000s of things on ebay and have been done over a few times, their are some crule people out their.

I have sent you a pm with some advice...
